Quarterbacks Transferring

So, Dakota Prukop from Montana State is transferring to Oregon next year a la V. Adams?

I feel as though this is going to become the new norm. OL guys should start doing the same thing, they are usually smart enough to be able and graduate early, while developing.

Apparently Mac thinks our OL woes aren't lack of talent or coaching, but only S&C. Seems that way from the outside to me anyway.

As posted elsewhere, Oregon QB Morgan Mahalak was granted his release by the Ducks. Redshirt freshman who is exploring options but has not said for sure that he will transfer. http://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/index.ssf/2016/01/oregon_quarterback_morgan_maha.html

An athletic department spokesman confirmed the release, which appeared imminent when Mahalak began following on social media recruiters from schools such as Virginia Tech, Nebraska, Duke, Colorado and Syracuse after Oregon's 47-41 loss to TCU in Saturday's Alamo Bowl.

Mahalak has all the talent in the world. Hopefully it was just a bad situation for him and not an attitude problem.

UO put out the two worst QB's against CU that I saw in D1 football the whole season. Gehrke is on par with those two. This kid, Mahalak, rode the pine behind those two stiffs against CU.

Having a kid like this transfer into CU is a very high risk compared to bringing in a SR grad transfer with only one year of eligibility.

Yeah. I haven't heard anyone who say he's all that high on Mahalak. I don't think it's a talent issue. Chatter seems to be about not committing to things, having a poor attitude, and ending up in Helfrich's doghouse. My impression is that Helfrich isn't a hard guy to get along with, so I'd be very reluctant to take him on in hopes I could reach him.

If I was Mahalak I'd probably play next year at a JUCO instead of sitting out since he has redshirted already. Prove it there and he'll have tons of opportunities coming back to D1.

I read recently that you are persuaded by logic. Blue chip talent kids and their parents seem to more often be persueded by things other than logic.

My kid got a text that Sheriron Jones is transferring to CU from Tennessee. WTF? Is this real?
