College kids need to stop driving all together. Glad to see that that "harsh" punishment handed down to Purify really stuck with this team.

Another DUI

Edit: holy ****, I just read the rest of the article. This is is second this year. Interesting to see what Cally does on this one.

Here's the scoop on the first one, from that same article:

On May 26, Lincoln police ticketed him on suspicion of DUI, negligent driving, improper registration and MIP after an accident in which he hit a culvert near 101 Charleston, causing $5,000 damage to his SUV. According to the accident report, his blood alcohol level was .123.

Teafatiller, a junior from Kingsburg, Calif., was never prosecuted in that case. In the new case, he is set to go to court Sept. 12.

Ahhhh, yes. The tradition of harsh justice for fuskers in Stinkoln continues...

Is anyone keeping a tally of the police blotter coming out of the B12 for the 2007 season?
nU has this guy and Purify for DUI
UT has a weapons charge and some dope smokers.
Stuff has to be going on in Oklahoma, and elsewhere. Is there a website that keeps track? Sure makes for juicy reading.

I don't know the law in Nebraska, but here in Iowa if you are a minor your BAC level is something like .03 to be considered legally intoxicated so the fact that he is not 21 and the legal limit for adults is .08 means that he broke both legal limits and I know here the judges bring the hammer down hard for that!!!! He deserves it as well. Kick he ass off of the team and give him some jail time. He's obviously a ****ing moron!!!!

You would kick him off the team for being a moron?? Dude, NU won't have a team left if you do that (or a coach).:wink2:

I know that www.edsbs.com (Every Day Should Be Saturday) runs something called the Fullmer Cup, which is a country wide ranking of police blotters. The only Big XII representation is the Nubs (soon to climb in the points I am sure). Not real sure how Texas is not on there with all of their transgretions.

If you do not already read that website, I highly recommend it. It is a Florida guy, and it is SEC centered, but the dude love Hawkins and CU gets some love on there. And it is generally pretty funny.

That blog is hilarious. The Big 12 is really trying to catch up to the SEC-needs to happen on the field though.

I'll be absolutely shocked if this happens....Purify got, what, one game? No way he gets the boot. Not saying he should not get kicked off, just saying it's not happening.

I unfortunately agree with you. I don't think it will happen either. If you look at the Purify thread from when he got in trouble I thought he should have been thrown off the team as well just to set a tone to the rest of the team!!!

I don't think he should be thrown off the team. As we've discussed ad naseum, kids do make mistakes. However, his punishment should be severe enough to send a message. I think 3-4 games with 100 hours of community service in rehab center helping out folks who were injured by drunk drivers.

for the kid with the second DUI?? or big Mo?

I think the kid with the second DUI should be suspended at least the year. Two DUI's pretty much means you have a alcohol abuse problem. He needs to time to get sober and the Fuskers should suspend him to send a message to the team.

Yeah I don't get what these kids are thinking. They aren't thinking is the reason why they get into so much trouble.

when did thinking become a requirement for a fusker football player???

It was kids in general. Never said it was just the Huskers. Being that you are in Mobilehoma I should of said "youngins". Then you would have understood it better.

...young, dumb, and full of cum...

A second DUI is too serious to let slide. Purify is watching and learning.

actually, there is: EDSBS has tournament called the 'fulmer cup' that's kinda like the BCS for off season, off-the-field college football hijnix. points are scored by arrests, types of arrests, number of players involved and bonus points for convictions.

purify, champion that he is, has damned near kept nebraska in the running this season.

Its amazing some of you CU fans continue to bash on other teams in the big 12 and across the country for getting in trouble with the law. Doesnt CU have 3 players suspended right now for fighting ,drinking, etc? Didnt one of your players beat a guy up so bad that he has to have constructive surgery on his face? COME ON, be realistic here, Dont throw stones in a glass house!!!

Hey Rammie,

You need a pellet gun? Maybe you can use that instead of throwing stones.

yea, i could use a pellet gun, which seat are you sitting in at Invesco?
