Someone likes us! He or she really, really likes us!

****ers!

Nothing to do but sweep this homestand and see if any voter is dumb enough to deny a 17-5 (6-3) CU squad with a Top 20 RPI next Monday.

Assholes!

We're so far out that I don't see how we get ranked even if we sweep. Now tell me if any other power conference would be looking at having an unranked 17-5 team with a top 20 RPI..

What do we have to do to get a Buffs-Shockers annual game? Would be a great RPI boost and money maker for both programs with easy fan travel.

Politics with Tad not getting the job there? Same AD?

Average half of watching Duke with Vitale. He's called Jefferson "a beautiful man" and implied Duke would be #1 if he was healthy.

Great work by Gary Parrish calling out some of the idot AP voters. Link

Here's my favorite part:

Regardless, as hard as it might be to believe, I found something even sillier in the AP poll, and that's Fletcher Mackel's ballot. Fletcher had Providence ranked 15th last week, which was reasonable at the time, I guess. Then the Friars beat Butler and won at Villanova, and Fletcher ... wait for it ... dropped Providence to 18th!

I am not making this up.

Providence beat a Butler team that's been in the national rankings most of this season, then went on the road and snapped Villanova's 22-game winning streak against Big East opponents, and Fletcher Mackel dropped the Friars three spots on his AP ballot.

I mean, how does that even happen?

Providence went 2-0 for the week and beat a top-five team on the road.

And that cost the Friars three spots on Fletcher Mackel's ballot.

Unreal.

College B-ball rankings = "Oooh! I bought your team's jersey when I was in Jr high and I love you 15 years ago, regardless of what you do today!"

Will still be ranked. In position for a 3-seed.

I get the sarcasm, but if their PF (Amille Jefferson) doesn't return soon, Duke could end up a bubble team...and being Duke, they'll probably get in. Hopefully committee sees that Jefferson played against Utah, and gives Utah (and PAC12) credit for that win.

I've talked exhaustively with Goose about this same thing. I'm a big believer that CU and WSU would fit naturally together for a potentially regional rivalry game every year. Even if it weren't to take off as a rivalry of sorts or something that would continue yearly, a nice home-home series would surely be beneficial for both programs in the next few years.

In regards to politics with Tad not getting an interview, I don't really know what went down with that, but our AD has transitioned to VP of Student Services for the whole University, and we have an interim AD right now. I'd like to see it happen.

I imagine there would be a large Shocker contingent in OKC if that's where they get placed. Could be a heckuva home court advantage.

We play in OKC next year at Chesapeake against OU in the first of a quasi "home and home." OU comes to Wichita in 2017-18 season to play at our downtown arena.

If WSU could get to OKC for the first rounds this year, it would be great. It's a super easy drive from Wichita.

Duke needs quality wins. I believe they have just one top 50 win at this point (Indiana, 40). VCU looks like they have figured things out and may enter the top 50, but we'll see. The next two games should be W's, but the 4 game stretch after that (Louisville, UVA, @ UNC, @ Louisville) will be interesting.

God, SDSU is painful to watch. Just horrible offensive team, and I have a hard time believing some of these guys would be so much better had they come to CU instead of there.

There is a ton of great basketball today.

Almost like they planned conference schedules with input from the networks for the 1st non-NFL hoops weekend.

Virginia holds Louisville to 14 at half at the KFC Center

West Virginia getting absolutely killed in Gainesville. 69-49

49-28 Hoos midway through the second half. You don't see Louisville getting owned like this at home very often. Keep waiting for them to make a run.
