With such a strong in-state class this year, Junior Day is especially important.

Showing off the facilities this weekend and there's a strong likelihood that we see at least one commitment from the event.

We can use this thread to post tweets from guys confirming attendance.

Blake is a 2018 recruit. OL from Centenniel who plays for Arapahoe. (Need a Futures profile for him.)

Getting a lot of SixZeroStrength mentions.

McChesney is doing good work. He is also turning some kids into D1 prospects who wouldn't be otherwise.

I wonder if his next move might be to shift from being a strength oriented facility into a full fledged academy operation with both the strength and a much bigger speed training component.

Donavaughn Baucom told me he'd be there on the 28th, he recently took an unofficial to Cal. 140 tackles last season, one to watch. Missed seven games as a sophomore with a shoulder injury.

McChesney tweeted Jackson Block ran a 4.45 hand timed 40, Block said 4.5 ... you know how 40s go. Either way, Chiverrani followed Block on Twitter shortly there after. McChesney told me the other day he placed 26/26 kids with the last class. He's doing a good job. Block looks like a potential Wyoming player IMO.

Brock Domann speaks highly of CU/MacIntyre. He made it sound like the Buffs gave it everything they had to flip JoJo. Hopefully Brock throws well for the CU after tinkering with his mechanics. He's hitting Rivals L.A. camp and QB challenge in March and hopes to visit Cal. Could pick up after that, especially if he lands some stars.

Christian Cumber's dad told me CU is in contact almost daily and doing a great job. He sent this picture over of mail they've recently received. Dad said CSU is heavily recruiting as well, but let's be honest, look at that mail ... probably not going to happen for the Rams.

Couple other in-staters of note: Corte Tapia, linebacker from Windsor, not sure he'll be at CU on Sunday, but he picked up his first offer from Northern Colorado last week and visited Kansas last weekend. UNC also offered Dante Stewart, a decent sized interior lineman from Grand Junction. Heritage lineman Matt McClurg is picking up some interest, including Boise and my beloved Illini. For you history Buffs, he's the grandson of 1964 CU letter winner Jerry McClurg. He'll roll out the "Frank Umu" special next fall and play both ways for Heritage. Another Dungeon Family kid. Valor OL/FB Hayden Courier might be worth keeping an eye on. He visited Miami this past weekend. There's some kind of Colorado connection with Miami -- Pomona 2015 FB Zak Lawler walking on with the Canes --- and much to the chagrin of some, I think it rhymes with Warren. Fort Morgan 2018 TE/DL Trey McBride, brother of Toby, landed his first offer from CSU last week. Guessing he'll have more offers than big bro.

I think some people (myself included) need to give credit where credit is due here; I remember a lot of gnashing of teeth the last few years about how CU needed to make Junior Day into a huge in-state event, like Texass does. This weekend certainly looks like a huge instate event to me. Kudos to Coach Mac and the staff.

Baucom might just be too short for P5. Active player, but I don't know what his spot would be unless he came in as a FB.

Block is very interesting to me. Let's say that the hand timed 40 is generous and he's more of a 4.6 guy. At 6'4", he could fit in at either the McCartney OLB role or at TE. Definitely a guy to keep an eye on.

All I'm seeing for Junior Day is Colorado kids. There must also be some visitors from out of state, right?

We've been doing multiple junior days lately. I bet we do a big out of state junior day around spring practice.
Don't they do something in June? Kind of hard for kids to travel this time of year, I'd think.

2018 prospect Chad Muma is visiting.

I think he's going to be a good OLB prospect.

I am currently aware of 14 in-state prospects that will be up at CU tomorrow. There will definitely be some big recruiting news that comes out of tomorrow.

Dante Sparaco, Cherry Creek
Marcus McElroy Jr., Mullen
Donavaughn Baucom, TJ
Dalton Keene, Chatfield
Brock Domann, Pine Creek
Christian Cumber, Mullen
Heston Paige, ThunderRidge
Jonathan Van Diest, Cherry Creek
Chad Muma, Legend (2018)
Jackson Block, Columbine
Blake Carette, Arapahoe (2018)
Adrian Jackson, Mullen (2018)
Isiahia Banks, Mullen
Cal Neubert, Highlands Ranch

In total, there are expected to be 31 in-state recruits at the event. Obviously not all 31 are legit Pac-12 level recruits. Here are some of the other notable prospects, that weren't included in my earlier list, that are expected to check out what the Buffaloes have to offer tomorrow:

Noah Ellis, Valor Christian
Ray Robinson, Highlands Ranch (2018)
Blake Stenstrom, Valor Christian (2018)
Max Borghi, Pomona (2018)
Ezekiel Creps, Pomona (2018)
Ryan Marquez, Pomona (2018)

Can we create enough buzz at jr day this year to convince some of the kids who are one step below being P5 scholly level to consider us as PWO's?

I went to the Mullen Pomona game today. Ryan was Head and Shoulders above where he was last year. A true dual-threat quarterback. I honestly wouldn't mind CU taking a hard look at him.
