Visiting this weekend:

http://www.buffzone.com/football-cubuffs/ci_29553130/cu-football-junior-college-safety-visit-buffs

"The Buffaloes are interested in adding a safety from the junior college ranks, and one of their targets, Kyle Trego of Diablo Valley (Calif.) College, is taking an official visit to the CU campus this weekend.

"I'm excited to see what it's really about," Trego said.

Trego does not yet have a scholarship offer from the Buffs, but said, "(CU head coach Mike MacIntyre) told me he wasn't going to fly me out there if they weren't 100 percent sure I was the guy that they wanted....

At DVC, Trego had an interception, fumble recovery and two blocked kicks in his debut. He finished the 10-game season with 50 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, four interceptions and three blocked kicks. He also added 20 pounds, going from 170 to 190 on his 5-foot, 11½-inch frame. He earned all-state and all-conference honors this past season."

Wasn't sure if this should go in the archive or not? Feel free to move wherever.

Really good burst, nose for the ball and not afraid to hit. Would help us this year and calm a lot of my worries about safety depth. Right now, there is no 2-deep unless you include Chidobe sliding over from corner.

Going to have an opportunity to contribute right away, looks like a solid pick-up.

Air Force offer out of HS says that academics shouldn't be an issue for him.

So has there been any news on his progress? Did he play at all this season?

Would think he needs to be a guy who can make an impact at safety next season.

He played two snaps on D and played a little on special teams, blocking on kick returns. Agreed he needs to step it up and not become dead weight.

Damn you Snow.

Thanks guys, so he has two years of eligibility left and will be a junior this fall. Needs to provide some depth at safety.
