Lucas retweeted this link from Courtside Films stating that Colorado, Creighton, & Wash St are in his final 3. De-commit from ASU, former 4 star, stretch 4 who loves to shoot 3's.

Started every game for Team Latin America at Adidas Nations as a freshman. Named a top-25 player at the Pangos frosh-soph All-America camp. Played for Brazil at the Nike Junior International Tournament in Milan, Italy. Youngest player (16) for Brazil at the FIBA Americas U18 Championship at the USOC in Colorado Springs in '14.

Was #3 on my bigs to watch in this spring's recruiting after (1) Dallas Walton and (2) Harry Froling. https://www.allbuffs.com/threads/bigs-who-may-be-on-cus-radar-for-spring-signing-period.112500/

3. Lucas Siewert

This 6'9" 220 lb face-up 4 has some ball skills. 4* rating on a couple sites. Originally from Brazil (plays internationally for them) and goes to Los Angeles's Cathedral H.S. Siewert was an early commit for ASU, but de-committed when Sendek was fired. Buffs have been in contact, but it's unclear whether there is active recruitment in process. Highlights below show a smooth shooter.

There's no shortage of sites highlighting him from major AAU & International events.

RealGM has his stats from 19 games played in International & AAU events.

From the '14 Jordan Brand Classic:

"We saw Siewert at adidas Nations last summer when he was part of the Latin American team. Since then he’s come to the states and is playing at Cathedral High School in California. The 6’9″ Siewert is much improved from last year. He’s developed a nice perimeter game with range and a nice rotation on his shot. He has ball skills and caused a defender to fall over after a crossover. With his size, his ball skills and ability to score inside and out, Siewert is a definite high major recruit. He scored 10 points and made 2-of-4 three-pointers."

There was a white kid about 6'9" (ish) that was hanging out with Sean Kierney before and after the Arizona game. He was a recruit --- and he was wearing capri pants, so I automatically assume he's foreign. Could it have been Siewert?

If so, he couldn't have picked a better game to attend.....

If he's 6'9", they may not have been designed as capri pants. ;)

I never heard anything about him being here for that one. Hope he was.

I hope it's true but like I mentioned in an earlier post, Eric Bossi said he hasn't set any official visits yet & that post was after the UA game. Could it have been an unofficial? Idk how that works.

Where would his scholarship come from? We are losing three scholarship seniors and we have three already signed/committed.

Lucas looks to have a nice shot, and needed size. A true stretch-4. Would like to see him come to CU!

As for XJ, still have to think he's gone. I'm sure the decision has already been made and Tad's well aware of it. Regardless, honoring him at senior day would have limited his options.

In what way? If Tad already knows, which he needs to know, in order to offer the Brazilian, then XJ is gone. How would honoring him or not honoring him at SR day effect options if he's already gone?

I hope XJ stays so that all you guys who think you know so much will be wrong and I can throw it in YOUR FACE!!! :sneaky:

At your age throwing anything could require a 3-5 week rehabilitation program. Be careful.
