Holy crap, maybe having ugly ass unis is worth it

It must be nice to be sponsored by Nike.....Oh wait, we are. We have some sweet new uniforms this year too. Who sponsors csu? kotex?

Nope, sorry, i mispoke, I think they're sponsored by Granimals, I remember the little sheep on the front of it.

You arent getting any 100 M donation, so dont get too excited there bud. But you do get some relatively ugly uniforms.

If we had the 100m donation, i doubt we'd be in a rebuilding stage in the program either.
Oregon is like the TT of the Pac 10, pretty good, but can never get over the hump of mediocrity. Always ranked high it seems and then choke somewhere.

Are you serious?

Oregon is a considerably stronger program than TT you might want to go check your facts, they had one turd of a season at 5-6 but including 2001 Oregon would be third to only OU and Texas in the big-12

Not talking about the program specifically, just seems like they always choke somewhere and get a lot of attention pre-season but never pans out to NC or where they were predicted to be, mediocrity.

i'm not sure i buy that last statement. Oregon 3rd in the Big 12 since 2001?

These guys play in the Pac-10 ten though!! USC is the only consistent team. Cal and ASU haven't had good programs consistently year in year out until recently.

I vote that the new Oregon sporting complex recognize those who made the $100m possible: Child Labor Memorial Arena.

:yeahthat:
Not only did they go to a BCS bowl in 2001 and finish #2 in the polls, they deserved to go to another 2 years ago when they were 10-1 but ND undeservedly got the 2nd at-large spot instead. TT hasn't come remotely close to going to a BCS bowl since joining the Big 12.

I'd put the Ducks ahead of the aTms of this conference. At least they've shown they know how to cheat and beat Bob Stoops. aTm can't quite say the same with Franmeister at the helm.

Oregon is a pretty damn good program with moments of greatness. A lot like us in the late 80s and early 90s; danced with the prom queen a few times but didn't get to **** her.

I think they have been beter than us until Hawkins arrived. I think they just haven't been able to put it all together.

Does that mean you think CU was better than Oregon last year?

From now until the time they beat us they were the better team. I'd love to hear how we were the better team in the Fiesta Bowl from someone but they'd be wrong. We lost on the field. Got torched for the most part.

Since that season the Buffs have been on a slow and long decline. Now, we are climbing again. Better coaches. Better recruiting. If played Belloti last year or the year before I don't think we'd win. Maybe next year or the year after we'd beat them. But thats a lot of maybes.

And while we are at it lets be realistic and say the Ducks should have played Miami for the national title in 01.

The Oregon - CU matchup in the Fiesta Bowl in 2002 or Cotton Bowl before that was akward. The fans from the two schools don't really know how to talk smack. Over a few beers, it was like:

We smoke more dope than you do.

Or

Our women have hairier leggs & pitts than yours.

The Quacks are a team on the rise

sure, it's all about the bling. but 3rd in the Big XII from 2001-2006. no way. even granted the generous Fiesta Bowl (spit) year, highly selective time period.

i think people underestimate the Pac 10, but i don't think UO is the 3rd best team in the Big XII since 01. no way, no how.

Also remember the Ducks got ****ed by the BCS in 2001 too. Texas was all set to play Miami in the Rose Bowl for the BCS MNC, but Colorado proved to be the better team in the Big XII championship game. Colorado then went to the Fiesta Bowl, and the BCS picked a highly overrated fusker team to play in the Rose Bowl versus Miami when Oregon was the best team after Miami.....

yeah and then UO bitched us.

They should have. No way the bugeaters deserved it but the integrity of the Heisman was at stake so...

If OU had played The U I am pretty sure the outcome would have been the same. The U would have won. They were silly good that year.
