Recruiting appears to be more aggressive these days

Maybe this is in the wrong place but it appears that this is the first season in a long time where the Buffs are out there aggressively offering better players.

As I am an old Ludite, the response from the recruits appears to be better than it has in the past.

Thanks to Wasian and others who continually update the recruiting section.

I believe that CU may have turned the corner. I hope it results in more wins this season.

A past review of multi-starred kids who signed with UCLA or U$C shows that many, if not most were offered by the Buffs. But they were only shown plans of the new facilities Now there is something real to show them and a new recruiting coordinator willing to make a huge effort in reaching out to these kids. (Another strike against the past-venerated Walters: no WR improvements AND lousy overall recruiting!)

Not sure if we're more aggressive but the "energy" seems a lot better. However, there are few results yet, so.....

I'm not sure either. We seemed to have been offering 4-5* guys in the past...but it was a **** program with **** facilities...so it felt more like a perfunctory offer. Now with us more competitive on the field, new facilities and new coaching blood, I'm hoping we see an improvement in recruiting this year.

Definitely stepped up both the twitter game and the Dallas/ L.A. focus.

Do you guys think that the focus on Texas again is a shift back in philosophy or is it because of Chiv's ties there? Maybe both?

RG knew what he was doing by scheduling home-away series with A&M and TCU.

My guess is that the recent push into Texas and with Twitter/social media is part of a bigger strategy and overhaul of recruiting philosophy. Not necessarily a shift back, but a shift forward.

Yep. From the scheduling, I'd say they've had a plan in place since before Chev. Maybe their desire to focus on Tejas even steered them toward him a bit. Not to mention he'd whupped us on the recruiting trail once or twice.

Swig away at the Kool-aide. I'm afraid CU is a bottom dweller again this year. This won't aid the recruiting dreams of many here. Bring back the recruiting practices from the last time CU was relevant... and you might have a fighting chance.
