VA Tech

I'm kind of enjoying the shock from Nub fans that he popped for the Hokies right after visiting Lincoln. :ROFLMAO:

Especially when all their 247 guys predicted him there and they wrote another overly Nebraska biased article after the visit.

Every Nub publisher for every media outlet writes "so and so loved Lincoln and is favoring Big Red" after every single visit. They are then shocked about 30 times a cycle when guys commit elsewhere.

That's fine. Just seems odd to laugh and give a middle finger to the Nubs for not landing a kid who we also offered and lives about 45 minutes from our campus.

Wasn't a guy who was expected to commit to CU or necessarily a good fit for the system. Coach recruiting him for VA Tech was a college teammate of his dad's, so it always seemed like the best and most likely fit. Since I'd always figured it would go this way, the shock and awe reaction from Nub fans was funny to me.

I hear ya. I suppose I just felt the sting of losing an in-state kid with good offers more than any husker schadenfreude . Dalton seemed high on the Buffs as well and that didn't get reciprocated by the staff for whatever reason.

Since he is a local kid who isn't going to be playing against us I hope he has a good career and gets a solid education. Had he gone to the fuskers the sentiment would not have been the same.

In line to play a lot at H-Back as a true freshman at Virginia Tech.
Wow. Good on him. I was lukewarm on him when he was being recruited (partially because he was a VT lock from the time they offered).

Yeah, he has been singled out by Fuente and is listed at 240 now. Clearly put in some work his senior year.

Same. He was decently athletic with some size, but I never saw anything special from him when we played Chatfield a few years ago. Good for him.
