UNC has had a number of incidents in recent years that resulted in very bad publicity. Maybe they are acting quickly to try to avoid something blowing up on them again.

Hope we don't lose another assistant. Since Hill was Tad's right hand guy I'm sure they will go a different direction but I don't want any more turnover on our staff this year unless we get a shot at an assistant who would be a major upgrade.

Other than his first season, Hill underachieved at UNC. The Bears definitely had the roster to be more successful than they were under Hill.
A buddy of mine who is a UNC grad couldn't be happier. He wanted Hill fired 2 years ago.

The usual crimes the NCAA looks for when busting 3rd level programs.
NCAA reminds me of the geniuses at TSA: They bust 10 year old girls for having a computerized toy, while potential terrorists carrying knives and box cutters get by "free"!
Colorado's UNC basketball team gets busted, while Carolina's UNC basketball team, which clearly committed academic fraud for years to keep its athletes eligible, is allowed to compete for NCs!!!
