Jaylen Brown announcement - leaving Cal for NBA

Jaylen just confirmed he is hiring an agent. He's all in.

Next question for Cal is Ivan Rabb's status.

For those of us that live in Colorado there is a decent chance we will get to see a lot more of Jaylen next year. Many NBA mock drafts have the Denver Nuggets picking Jaylen if they don't win the lottery and move up into a top 3 spot.

Those same mocks have Ivan Rabb, Dejounte Murray (UW) and Marquese Chriss (UW) as border line lottery picks. Chriss and Murray hired representation back in March.
With Poetl, we could see 5 PAC-12 players in the lottery (picks 1-14), unlikely but possible.

I love seeing other PAC-12 players enter the draft early. It raises the profile of the PAC-12 for recruiting purposes, plus the Buffs don't have to play against most of these guys when they are really starting to figure out the game.

I'm hoping Hield is still around for the Nuggets to take. While I appreciate Brown's talents, I would not take him with a high lottery pick. He is not some super athlete (NOT saying he isn't a great athlete, just not one of those freaks) and has unpolished skill.

As for Rabb...I fully expect him to declare, but I wouldn't draft him until 20s...if...unless he blows everyone away during workouts.

And lastly to the comment about living by the sword and dying by it...true to a certain extent. Most top programs are getting one-and-done's and living by the sword quite well. I look forward to CU getting our first one-and-done talent, or the NCAA/NBA changing the rule.

good news. Was not looking forward to cal, despite all the recent drama. Here's hoping rabbi goes too.
