Here are the results from CU QB's making their first starts against CSU

1985 Mark Hatcher: 3 of 9 for 38 yards, 62 rushing yds, 2 tds, W 23-10

1987 Sal Aunese: 4 of 6 for 139 yards, 83 rushing yds, 1 td, W 19-16

1992 Kordell Stewart: 21 of 36 for 409 yards, 4 td's, W 37-17

1998 Mike Moschetti: 21 of 32 for 257 yards, 3 td's, W 42-14

2003 Joel Klatt: 21 of 34 for 402 yds, 4 td's, W 42-35

2006 Bernard Jackson: 8 of 13 for 70 yards, 30 rushing, 1 td, L 14-10

SO which QB will he have a day like? I think his stats may be more like Mochetti's was, only doubt we score 42 points. Even if we did, they should score more than 14 with Hanie, Sperry and Bell. Should be a good game--but not a big shootout like with Klatt. But that is ok too. Score alot, get confidence, fix the D if they give up alot.

Get the game on; I am tired of speculating.

I just remember that csu had no fear of BJ in the second half. Thy just dared us to throw it and we could not. Methinks things will be a bit different come Saturday.

That's a frightening record for a Ram fan. Jackson's start looks more like an aberration than a trend, particularly since he couldn't throw. I still think if Hawk had stuck to the option game, you would have own.

Here's hoping we have a great game on Saturday but CSU wins. Thanks for posting that; it's interesting and insightful.

"looks like an aberration..."? How about WAS AN ABERRATION PAL!!

I have no idea how Little Hawk is going to do. I just hope he is as good as I think he will be.

I think he is going to be good, too. I just hope it doesn't start in a big way until your second game! If he's anything like his dad (and he probably is; his prep record is truly impressive), then he's going to be a winner. Maybe starting off with a loss will be good for him. Okay, maybe not, but it would be good for me!

Moschetti played unbelievable.. If I remember correctly I think we actually lost a 13-0 lead in that game and Moschetti hit a big pass down the sideline and we crushed them after that...

Little Hawk can't be worse than Jackson was..
