Awesome. Tweeted a couple weeks ago upon receiving his USC offer that it was a "dream school," but they were in interim status with Helton by then. USC coaching limbo has resulted in a lot of verbals switching late when the new coach comes in and is lax on communication. One to watch as he is probably a lean to them but could cool depending on how that new hire shakes out.

I should add that both Bolden and his QB Tate Martell (A&M verbal) are juniors so there's plenty of time for mind changin'. Early in the year Gorman was featured on ESPN going against a 2015 Arizona state champ in the Chandler Wolves. I don't recall any picks or earthshaking hits from Bolden but he played defense and was on the kickoff team and seemed in the action on every play. They didn't throw in his direction at all but he moved to the ball quickly wherever they went. Gorman handled them.

Just a Gorman tangent now. Look at this schedule. They played Long Beach Poly and Bosco from NJ and whooped them. Entire out of league schedule was vs. out of state teams. Tony Sanchez goes to UNLV and his brother takes over and their talent continues to be this dominant. It's nice to have a program like this in our conference's footprint, if our staff gets some wins on the field and can come into that school and get the time of day from some of these players.

  • Relationship with the coaching staff is a top priority. Hasn't talked with the USC coaches since the spring game. Very much a "soft" commit.
  • ASU, UCLA, and Colorado recruiting him the hardest
  • Mentions that he has a good relationship with the UCLA DB coach and "a lot of coaches at Colorado."
  • Plans to visit Colorado in the summer.
  • OVs will be to some pac12 schools and he will go down south as well.
  • Ends with "if my parents like it, I know I'll like it."
Sounds like a good chance for HCMM here. He is genuine about life after football with these guys and parents usually fall in love with Boulder. Gotta think we are very much in the running as long as we get a visit.

Thanks. I don't have a subscription so those notes are helpful

Gotta sell his mom. She tweets, retweets and follows all of his stuff. Hopefully they continue to sell the school to her. He could definitely be in Black and Gold.

Not a major update or anything but I like that HCMM has seemingly found a little bit of a niche with secondary guys. Leavitt coaching LBs is definitely our biggest recruiting angle, but being able to get coaching from Clark, Tumpkin, and HCMM at corner/safety is leaving an impression on guys.

Just updated his profile. Now 4* on every site.

Would be so huge if CU could land him. Our best shot is to get Perry to commit and that they want to play together.

Would love to have him and his teammate Alex Perry together in our back field. Also, I know people have said this but I love these photoshop edits our staff are doing. Every player seems to love them!

4 year starer and complete game changer for our defense.

Show the kid some twitter love!

Update: and Chiv just followed him after the announcement. Kind of surprised that was the order of things, but this must mean someone else is reeling him in.

Klayton Adams has been the Vegas guy. This kid has had a great Spring. He is definitely an impact guy that we need on D.
