Did they finally, fully, 100% embrace UCCS? (What it should be, IMO - the CU - Colorado Springs bit always felt wrong.)
And "Boomer" is a silly name, but most mascot names are a little silly.

Yes, definitely UCCS now. It does make it easier to say, but it just doesn't match the other campuses. The campus is growing like crazy though so who am I to judge.

I just don't like the Boomer thing because it just brings up memories of the land thieves in our previous conference. The name Boomer really has no place in this state, but again, who am I to judge.

Tried to find out if there was a reasonable story for the name "Boomer" - google is worthless sometimes, even for things as recent as 2003 when "Boomer" was first introduced to the regents.

Even as a fan of another team I have to say that it's Ralphie and it's not a particularly close call. And no, this has nothing to do with the fact that Oskie looks vaguely like a pedophile.
