Apologies for putting something in a recruit's thread that should not have been there.

http://www.todaysu.com/recruiting/c...ty-ray-robinson-content-with-in-state-offers/

“I have Colorado and Colorado State,” Robinson told Today’s U. “It’s an honor to have both of them because I’ve grown up watching those schools and I would love to be a part of either one of them. I would love to stay in state to be near my family, so they can watch me play."

Now a 6-foot-2, 205-pounder, Robinson grew up attending games for both teams, but more so Colorado University, he said. Coaches from both in-state programs were impressed with his film and could even consider moving him around some on defense.

“The coach at CU likes how I can move across the field,” Robinson said. “He says I have a lot of speed and he can see me at different spots on the field. CSU likes my protective size and thinks I can be a good inside linebacker."

“I saw a lot of good talent at running back,” Robinson said. “They mixed a lot of guys around and all of them seemed to do really well. The running backs looked really talented. Overall they looked really good and I expect them to have a good upcoming season, so that’s exciting."

“With (Darrin) Chiaverini being the new recruiting coordinator, he’s doing a lot of stuff on Twitter which really helps a lot. They have two recruits from Cherry Creek reaching out to people too. I think that’s going to start building some momentum and be really good for the future of the program.”

Robinson has added an offer from Air Force. I expect he'll start collecting more MWC and maybe a handful of P5s as the process goes on. Really good player that I really want to see be a Buff. I think his college position will be as a LB instead of a S, though. Already 6'2" 200lbs as a sophomore. Has a nose for the football -- 95 tackles his soph season as a DB.

FWIW - Ray Robinson is part of the group chat that includes 2017 recruits Lytle, Van Diest, Sparaco, Miller, Jackson, Shenault, Bell, Rogers, etc. (and Lytle has started to get more o-linemen involved in it). He has definitely expressed strong interest in the Buffs.

Was wondering who was in that group chat. Thanks.

Bell and Rogers are in it?! That's freaking awesome. I figured it was just our current commits chatting about who they've talked to on Twitter and who to try to recruit.

Looks like he's gonna end up a lb to me. Unless he hit his growth spurt early? Either way, would love to have him.

Robinson is on the far right of the photo. I think this justifies changing his position to OLB. He was considered a S/OLB tweener before with questions about whether he would fill out to play linebacker or would be more of a big safety / rover type. Eyeball test for OLB is passed and then some imho, considering he hasn't even started his junior year.

Based off a recent interview he did, sounds like he's basically waiting for other P5 offers (to impress other recruits) and until he's older before officially committing here. I like this kid ;)
With as much advocating as he's been doing for CU, it would be very strange to see him commit elsewhere. Have to think he's commit #1 for 2018.

With how close he is with the '17 class, I wouldn't be surprised if our '17 recruits continue to help him recruit next year too.

This guy is da man.

Perfect start to the 18 class.

Local kid who is talented enough to have his choice of places to play but stays home to be a Buff.

LB size, DB speed. Exactly what you need to play defense in a league with the kind of NFL talent the PAC puts out.
