Guess the next commit - July 30th edition (Carson Wells)

Well he does have military academy offers.

The recent offer from USF makes me feel a little more comfortable with him. Obviously a reach based on offer list, but the coaches saw what they wanted when he camped at CU. I trust Leavitt and the speed he showed gives him the upside to do well, so I'm cool with it if he signs with CU.

How is grandma in all of this?

That's always the question, right? Trying to remember that WR we lost to Oregon in the Hawkins era because of his grams. I think he washed out anyway, but it was a big deal at the time when CU didn't land him.

I can picture that guy but can't remember his name. On his OV, he was wearing like a letter jacket on the sideline, hanging out with a linebacker we were recruitng. Pretty sure grades did him in at Oregon.

Diante Jackson. And the linebacker was Michael Clay.

Diante ended up at Whittier College.

John Stamos and/or Carson Wells ... Stamos just got a Fresno offer so Wells it is

Wells. 6'4 235. And fast. Very fast.

Gotta trust the coaches on this one. And bigger and faster than Addison Gillam 6'3 215 when he became Buff. Both 2 stars. Turned out okay.

Buffalo UP

Gillam turned out okay for one season, which is one more than almost all of the "gotta trust the coaches on this one" recruits the past four, 12, years. Trusting the coaches recruiting has not worked.

Okay, Injuries. We will see this year. His deal.

Certainly there have been errors in the last few years.
Leavitt may have a different eye. As do Chiv and Adams

We will see.

"Trusting the coaches has not worked" Welp, In the past 4 years, the base recruiting class ranking was probably a risk, with the lower star rankings being an even bigger risk.

The last couple of years and especially this year the base level rankings of the class is high which would indicate the lower star rankings will be even less of a risk than they have in the past because now the Buffs are picking whereas in the last 4 years they have been accepting.

Anyway

Go Buffs

Posts like this wash away your attempts to pretend to be an objective, even-keeled, well-meaning, super fan.
