If the run defense improves like we hope (expect?), then that will raise the sack total. Especially with this secondary.

I think we can get to 30.

The 35 many are saying is a big number. I feel like I'm being aggressive by saying 30.

In 2015, only 34 teams averaged 2.5 sacks or more a game. That's 30 sacks on a 12-game schedule. To get to 30 on a 13-game schedule, you need a 2.31 average. 51 programs hit that average in 2015.

CU had 27 total in 13 games in 2015 - 2.08 average.
CU had 22 total in 12 games in 2014 - 1.83 average.

I'm basing my 32 on less experienced QBing in the Pac this year. Oh, and a better defense, of course. I think Leavitt is at a much higher comfort level with the D and will turn them loose a bit more.

I am not sure if anyone will be playing football in 2105, but I am impressed you already know how many teams will have high sack totals.

Biff is that you?
