Man this is going to be a tough one. I think we stay with them for awhile but their depth and speed is just too difficult for us to overcome. However, stranger things have happened!

I picked option two although I think the Trojans are going to have plenty of motivation after two weeks of experts and others suggesting they are without this season.

The injury factor may be the biggest issue for them.

Pulling for the Huskers so we can beat them in Nov. Always have trouble rooting for anything in or about California.

kirk boy was speaking last night via phone with the talking heads of the okie lite game. he said that the huskers are billing this as a statement game.

that got me thinking - there have been quite a few statement games that we have heard about: usc (last year), followed by texas, the b12 cg, and even the cotton bowl.

i don't think they are catching on that the statement is being made.

I HATE THE CORN AND WILL NEVER EVER EVER ROOT FOR THEM UNLESS THE BUFFS NEED THEIR HELP FOR A CONFERENCE TITLE OR A NATIONAL TITLE.

I would pull for Satan's son's team if he was playing against the corn.

I'd be shocked if they win this game. They are 10 point home dogs - which translates to around 14 points on a neutral field, which tells me the handicappers don't think these teams are anywhere close in terms of talent.

I wouldn't be surprised if its close at the half. Second half USC pulls away.

All the favorable features and press the hucksters are getting is really making me sick.

With each passing moment I want to see them get hammered more!

You mean the same Kirk who whined like a little bitch last year during the best team match ups of all time? The same "homer" who was at the Ohio St/Michigan game jumping up and down like a fat chick who just got asked to the prom? I am growing tired of the Extreme Sports and Poker Network anyways.

:yeahthat:

I hope SC drops 70 on them

:yeahthat:

Could be close like the TX game last year. kNU will definitely be up the for the game. But I really hope they get blown out just to shut their fans up and put them in their place.

Apparently you haven't met any USC fans lately! :smile2: You know the type, one week they are USC fans, the next Cal, and throw in a little UCLA in there to boot.

caly will be 0-6 against teams ranked in the top 19.... and it wont be close.... more like the OU / Miami from last week.....

:yeahthat: I hope this team gets it **** together

Well for what it's worth I have never been a fan of Cosgrove and his "reactive" style of defense that he calls. Oh well what can ya do? I gotta say though that USC has some HUGE/FAST offensive lineman!

I thought SC would come out strong in part because of some of the press they have been getting.

But I didn't think that strong. WOW! Their running attack was unbelievable.

Just like our Buffs you guys have a ways to go yet.

You have to attack a team like USC. If you give them time they'll find a way everytime to make you look bad. Pressure on the QB is key. Pete Carroll is obviously one of the best coaches in college football.

Oh I agree 110% but we had numerous missed tackles where we either had the RB pinned in the backfield or met at the LOS. It seems somewhere in there "the great" Coach Cosgrove must of taught arm tackling 101 this past spring! :sad2: I one for one think that BC has our offense going in the right direction but that defense is going backwards. Like I stated earlier, I was never a big fan of the Cosgrove hire, hell his defenses at Wisconsin were sub par at best.

Does anyone know if Jeff Byers (sp?) started along the line? I thought that he was finally healthy. I did not get to watch the game, but I heard that USC's true freshmen center was ridiculously dominant. Can we play our true freshmen yet?

Yes, Byers started. Their whole line kicked NUs ass up and down the field

yeah...we're trying to make a statement but can't...

CU's not even at the podium...let alone in the auditorium

I don't know how excited I'd be to call last weekend a "try". The most strenuous effort I saw was SC doing their best not to embarrass the hucksters more than they did.

And only the blind fail to see the Buffs are making some nice progress in the rebuilding process. We'll be national contenders again before long, and it won't take the Buffs as long as it does the hucksters to get there

Nice progress like a 6 win season? When you fired a coach that won 7 games his last season. Jeez, how ****ing stupid. (Hmmm, heard this argument before?)

lol I hope you aren't serious

National Contenders again?

Well if you want gloves off all you ever have to do is say so husker!
But remember some of us do try to handle ourselves decently on this board.

Regrets and Regards to the Purify/Spears family.
