Didn't know until I read Woelk's piece but this is a revenge game of sorts. Their HC Mike Kramer was HC of Montana St when... wow, mental blackout.

This ISU team has some skills - they put up 500 yards in their opening 47-3 win over Simon Fraser (wasn't that show cancelled?), a D2 school. Of course we'll have the better athletes and should win comfortably, but they'll probably make some plays, likely more than CSU. Anyway, we need to keep showing improvement.

Play solid, get back ups reps, and get out healthy. The score doesn't really matter in this game as long as we win

That is an interesting tidbit.

Shouldn't need the revenge factor. But it would be nice. Paybacks. Lots of paybacks to be done this year. How else the Buffs gonna get to 8 and 4 and then go bowling.
Koolaide man.

Coaches have them 11th in the Big Sky (13 teams). Media has them 12th. Granted, UC-Davis is picked lower than Idaho State and Oregon only won 53-28. Wazzu fell to Eastern Washington 45-42 (picked around 3rd/4th). Utah beat mid-tier Southern Utah 24-0. Big Sky favorite NAU gave ASU a headache before the Scum pulled away late, 44-13.

Obviously should be a comfortable win, especially by week 2 with dust off. Might not be a 42-0 at halftime type situation, but then again, let's not kid ourselves: we're facing a bad team. It's really all what we make of it in terms of it being a 55-7 type game or a 31-14.

Let's notch up that win and make it 2 down, 4+ to go.

I would expect something similar to the UMass result from last year. Team doesn't come in as fired up as they are for CSU but still can hopefully not get complacent nor sloppy and dust them up good before resting their starters by midway through the 3rd.

Kind of game where we will get to see just how much the team leadership keeps the team focused and businesslike. We will probably see much more with respect to the team's mental make up than its physical abilities.

Simon Fraser is a Canadian school, eh.

Perfect. Kramer started the ten years of misery with Montana State and Kramer ends them when we whoop his ass in Saturday. It's a sign, folks.

I don't think Kramer will be facing the same tepid Hawkins coached team from 10 years ago. He'll probably be more concerned with keeping his players healthy for the rest of the season.

Will CU break the school record of 66 points this Saturday? Based on those factors, it's possible that happens.

Doubt it. Probably could have done that to Nicholls last year, but Mac called off the dogs and we got real sloppy.

Yes, these guys aren't as bad as Nicholls, but the score may be similar. Getting 4 more wins after I-state is looking increasingly possible given the first week PAC 12 showing and an obviously improved Buff squad.

I'd say they're pretty close to Nicholls, Nicholls after all managed 3 wins last year and looked better than in years past. ISU lost to UNLV 80-8 (a 3 win MW team), and won 2 games in which one was against a D2 team.

From their win over those hosers from Canada, it looks like ISU stops the run a lot better than they defend the pass. Liufau needs to sharpen his timing and precision from Friday. This may be a game where the pass sets up the run and could allow for a quick, early lead. ISU may have to abandon the run early to try to keep up. I expect CUs defense to dominate the LOS and pressure the QB, who doesn't look like much of a scrambler (6 carries, -12 yards). This has a chance to get out of hand quickly and become sloppy. Hopefully CU keeps it crisp and gets Montez, Bisharat, and Huntley some quality PT.

So I'm new to Dish. The game is listed as being televised. But I'm getting Washington vs Idaho. So, I think I get the Pac "national" and not "Mountain." Do I have to call Dish? Anyone have any insight?

Channel 406 should be Pac 12 Network that will "expand" if you hit select and there should be like 5 different P12 channels (10 if you include HD and SD versions). The game doesn't show up on my guide right now either, but it should update at some point.

Dish does not broadcast the regional channels. With your Dish credentials you should be able to stream the game on your computer at pac12.com.
Edit TSchedler is correct they do broadcast all the games live regardless of what regional channel is broadcasting. They just don't give you all the other programing that's on the mountain channel.

DBT, DISH does broadcast the regional channels. On my set up it is channel 453, one of the ALT channels. I have the sports pack though, so if you have a basic subscription, you may not get the channel I describe. If I remember correctly the sports pack is $10/mo. With it I also get SEC and B1G Network, so it is worth the $ in my book.

Yeah, right now the alternate channels show nothing. But if you look at the Pac Network schedule, the Mountain Region always has CU/Utah sports on. For instance they had the CU-PSU volleyball game listed but I didn't get it. Denver should get all of the Mt. Region broadcast, not just football. All I get is the Pac National broadcast. And I shouldn't have to stream on my computer to get those.

Omar (ID: JXV): It appears that the game will be aired on an Alternate channel (412-41) on Saturday.
