This one has big playoff implications, I think.

A close loss shouldn't penalize either team that much, but it changes conference perception a lot. And to the victor goes the spoils. Winner is going to vault very close to the top.

If either team rolls, I'd say that would earn it the #2 rank behind Alabama.

I didn't use to pay attention to stuff like this, but after a while you have to. Sports needs some feel good now and then to balance out the awful that is Baylor, etc.
