I can't believe there is not a single top 25 match up today. You would think there would be 1 or 2 just by accident.

No wonder the networks want a clause in future TV contracts banning non-FBS games.

Yep. Sucks for people who buy season tickets, too.

I'd much rather have a 12-game FBS schedule plus play for a pre-season game like the NFL does in its season ticket package. Pay an FCS program to come in at the end of fall camp for a Folsom scrimmage.

scouting Michigan vs, my grad school alma mater. Not sure if I want UCF to expose them or to give them an over-developed sense of confidence going into the Buff game.

The one thing Lou Holtz said that I really do believe in is that it is a completely different team every week. So I'd say to just cheer for who you want to win. If UCF wins, that young Michigan could just as easily respond poorly to a loss as they could rally from one. Personally, I'd rather not play a team that had its confidence sky high and felt like it was on a roll. I believe that winning and losing are habits.

the Jumpman logo looks dumb on football uniforms

And if Nike was going to do this, shouldn't they have started it 10 or more years ago? MJ's in his 50s. How much longer can he be considered cool or fresh or whatever to 17 year olds?

Rutgers down 14-0 to Howard who lost to BC 76-0 with 10 minute quarters in the 2nd half last year.

Wow. Unless you're competing with their debate team, a D1 school should never be losing to Howard.

What is up with the schedule this weekend? It is like nothing but scrimmages for top 25 teams. Snoozefest

well I guess I'll go out and mow the lawn and sweat out last night. Because I don't think UCF has the horses .

Seems like there is a dud week like this in one of the early weeks every season. Maybe it's particularly bad this year, but I don't recall this as being anything that unusual.

On a somewhat different note, there are some absolutely abysmal P5 teams this year.

Plus opening week was the " Best opening week of college football ever". I was out in the middle of the mountains for labor day weekend. I still have like 4 games to watch that I recorded.

Sure. But we have 65 teams in P5 plus a handful of G5 teams that are really good. They didn't all play each other last week. With that volume of teams, there is no excuse for having weeks like this one.

Honestly, I think this was the networks wanting college football to get out of the NFL's way for its opening week. Didn't even have a college football Thursday night game.

3rd and 34 and UCF thought it was 4th down and ran the punt team on the field then had to call time out. 24-0 with 12:00 to go in the first half. Michigan about to score again.

Edit: 31-0.
