Anyone know what the FSU fans thought of boulder?

I was wondering what they all thought of boulder and the CU fans. I cant find the board that the cornholes were on telling them to watch out. anybody know anything or have a link? Everyone i talked to said they were having a great time, and were treated like they would want to be.

A friend I work with is an FSU alum and went to the game. It was his first time at Folsom field for a game, and he said the experience (stadium, atmosphere, fans, ...) was great. Actually said he'd be back for future CU games that weren't just against FSU (he lives in Longmont)

I read some stuff on 'warchant' and fans were complaining
how nasty & rude the students were.

Some guy also mentioned the lady sitting near him
made stupid comments that proved she didn't know much about football.

Also read about CU fans saying "Go Clemson"
That seemed to piss off FSU fans.

Who cares? I hope they hated it so they go the **** back to wherever they came from.

the FSU fans that i sat next to enjoyed their time. thought it was a cool atmosphere and stadium, but very 'different' than what they're used to. we had a nice chat during the game.

I assume they had a pretty good time once they could actually get into the stadium. The folks seemed to mix it up pretty well during the tailgates. That was a complete mess. From the gold lot people finally just pushed the barricades aside and walked in since the line wasn't moving.

I heard a lot of them rumbling while we were waiting to get in that the students were typical students -making dumbass comments. They generally chuckled about it saying students will be students.

Two things:

I talked to a guy at half time and he said he was having a good time and all. What really impressed him was how beautiful the Boulder campus was. He said he'd never been to another school that was as beautiful as CU.

I had funny thing happen in the bathroom too. Some student came in and said "Florida sucks! **** Florida" and the FSU guy peeing next to me said under his breath "It's Florida State you moron". I chuckled and he turned to me and said "how would you feel if I called you Colorado state?" I told him those were fighting words and he said with a smile "Exactly! If your going talk smack at least get it right, that way people don't get hurt." I thought he was pretty cool.

I tried to talk to as many FSU fans as possible. Pretty much everyone I talked to said they were having a great time and echoed that sentiment about the campus being gorgeous.

I didn't see any big incidents aside from the usual students yelling F- U FSU and stuff like that. My buddy and I squeezed down into the student section and I did see some Florida state fans a few rows in front of us get a few things thrown at them. I wonder if they were some of the ones posting about the rude students. I swear, why would any visiting fan ever sit in the student section??? Doofuses like that practically deserve what they get.

Overall I thought their fans represented well. I think that was the most visiting fans I've ever seen in Folsom for a non conference game.

students last year had homemade tee-shirts talking smack about "Who the F**K is Montana?" idiots

but i too tried to talk to as many FSU fans as i could and they all said they were having a grea time and also mentioned how beautiful the campus was as well....

i talked to a few during the day since i live near Folsom....and they were having a great time.

though, right before and after the game there were some who were clearly not enjoying walking back to their cars with the river of drunken students. while i'm a little disgusted by the students much of the time, that's just the way it seems to be at most schools these days. for better or worse. but, i'm in my 30's and not 20 anymore...it all looks different to me than it did then....so who knows?

it's like football is just an excuse for belligerent stupidity rather than belligerent stupidity being supportive of football, if that makes any sense.

Yep. The campus is beautiful except for the students. WHATEVER. They came, they saw, they kicked CU's ass. Of course they had a positive experience. Nothing makes Manhattan, KS, Norman or College Station more appealing than a CU victory.

The true sign of sportsmanship is how a student body treats the visitors when they loose.

All those FSU visitors who liked Boulder probably made a bee-line to the nearest realtor to pick up some property. Honestly, why doesn't CU lease out some space in the Balch Fieldhouse to a land and mortgage company? They can set up next to the t-shirt vendors, or use that area where they used to sell beer. That way, all these happy visitors can buy up more of this fair city and turn even more Boulderites into renters. You could make a case that snotty arrogant and disrespectful fans are helping to keep Boulder relatively affordable. Imagine how packed Boulder would be if everyone behaved like June and Ward Cleaver. Horrors.
Why is it, exactly, that we care what FSU fans think about Boulder? Do we care more or less about the impression left on Miami of Ohio fans? Or Nebraska fans, for that matter. Treat all visitors the same, I say. You never know when you may show up on their campus for a game.

another thing....

on the ay out of folsom, i congratulated all of the FSU fans i saw and the majority of them just looked at me like i was from another planet. i get the feeling that opposing fans aren't so cordial to each other down south....

Are or aren't?

Sounds like they came from the South side of campus and had to wade through the drunk mass of students trying to force their way through too few student gates. The ticket gates were a total cluster ****.

FSN (Florida Sports Network) re-ran last year's FSU-CU game this afternoon.
After re-watching that 16-6 loss, I really want revenge in 2008.
Hypolite had a great game, getting a few sacks and double digit tackles.
Cody to Tyson DeVree and Cody to Scotty McKnight was basically the offense.

Hugh Charles looked tentative, preferring the sideline instead of punishing the defense for extra yards. Daniel Sanders and Cody had those frustrating drive killing bad snaps. Eberhardt missed two FG's. Cody had a couple of picks. The good news is that the mistakes are correctible.

In 2008 I expect a much better performance from the offense. CU's OL is improved. The rushing situation is bound to be improved. Cody and Sanders have many more reps to help eliminate bad snaps. Maybe Cody will not throw as many picks. And the kicking game couldn't be any worse.

On the defensive side, the absence of Wheatley is the one area that can't be coached.

Go Buffs!

FSU didn't look sharp in the second half on either side of the ball. Maybe it was the altitude, the late hour, or fitness.

The 16-6 outcome in 2007 won't repeat. My prediction is CU 24, FSU 23 for the upset.
