They set out to 'Make CU Great Again' and paved the road to a signature win

Talk about summing up years of culture change, sweat, and young men growing into incredible people....very emotional to us who have hurt for the program and bled black and gold along side the coaches and players. What Chidobe said about winning for the guys from a few years ago...wow.

What an incredible group of young men that MM has brought in (or retained) and guided into such leaders.

I spent most of my week trying to put last Saturday's win into words...

With the help of Mac, Sefo, Chido and PL, this is what I came up with: http://bsndenver.com/they-set-out-to-make-cu-great-again-and-paved-the-road-to-a-signature-win/

Hope you guys don't mind me plugging it but dammit I worked hard on it and wanted you guys to see it :)

You're always welcome to promote BSN's CU columns & podcasts on here. Don't ever worry about that.

P.S. That was an allsome read!

Sorry if this already been mentioned in one of the numerous post-game Oregon threads floating around.....

This win has similarities to the 1985 last-second win over Oregon in Boulder which is often pointed to as a turning point for the program to exit their doldrums of the early 80's.

OREGON – “I THINK THAT COULD BE A TURNING POINT FOR OUR PROGRAM”
// Sep 14 - 1985
OREGON - 1985 SEASON
Mickey Pruitt’s sack of Oregon quarterback Chris Miller as time expired allowed Colorado to raise its season record to 2-0 for the first time since 1978 with an exciting 21-17 win over the Ducks in Boulder.

How big was the win?

Coach McCartney after the game: “I think that could be a turning point for our program.”

In retrospect, who can argue with that statement?

The celebration in this video is awesome

If this team finishes the job and makes a bowl (and we're capable of more than 6-6) it deserves a monster turnout, regardless of whether it's Pasadena, San Diego, El Paso or Birmingham. I wouldn't want to be CU's bowl opponent this year.

Birmingham? That's an American-SEC matchup
