Davis Webb screwing us was the best thing that has happened to us

Was thinking the same watching the same earlier. If Webb comes here, Montez probably doesn't see the field this season and possibly not until 2018 if Sefo redshirts.

Webb and Cal just beat Utah. Great for us as another South Division rival goes down. We're on the top!

We now play in the Pac-12 Championship maybe against Webb . . . . . he will eat s**t.

In April all buffs was laughing at the notion that having to compete against Sefo and Montez for starter scared Webb to Cal. Not so far fetched now.

Sefo wanted to come back senior year because Montez is the guy in 2017.

Dwebb is smarter than he looks. Cal bought fool's gold. F Dwebb.

1Webb, 2Montez, 3Gerhke 4Awini

looks a lot better than

1Montez, 2Gerhke, 3Awini,

Things change. I think Webb and everyone were happy about coming here until Sefo's health improved. I frankly think it was better for everyone because Webb got his chance to start at his new home. And in a nice twist both our guys got to start here without having to wait another year.

I still think we're in a similar position right now with Webb at QB, potentially even 5-0, as he probably doesn't get hurt against UM. Regardless, I'd still rather have this team succeed with Sefo/Montez than him. **** Webb!

Webb is a likely mid-round NFL draft pick, so he had to do what he thought he had to do for his one-year rental. So far, it is working out for him. That being said, I'm happy with the home-grown QBs that the Buffs have going on right now.

And I hate to keep bringing this up, but if Webb was here along with Sefo and Montez, It'd be tough sledding getting Russell Lovett to come here with all that competition.

Webb had already been beaten out at TTU, he was looking for a place he would be guaranteed the starting job.

CU looked like a good place for him. Sefo hurt, Gerhke terrible, and Montez a RS Fr who was lightly recruited and looked at as a development project.

Webb came up to CU for his spring break and watched Montez taking the reps, he then found out that Sefo would likely be coming back at close to 100%.

I don't think Webb had the stomach to deal with a situation that was less than a lock for him to start. Don't want to put him down because we really did want him but he showed a character that I don't think would have turned out to fit well with this particular bunch of players. I see a Sefo who is fully supportive of Montez as he gets healthy and a Montez who I think will be completely supportive of Sefo when the coaches decide that he is back. I don't think Webb would have fit that.

He very well could admit to himself at the end of the season that he made a mistake.

I am more than happy how this ended up.
