Tell us what you LIKED about yesterday´s game, just like for the FSU game ... I will open a thread like this for every game from here on out. :gobuffs:

The improvement of the running game was definately the biggest positive.

Second I would have to say the lack of dropped passes.

Third I would say scoring was a definate plus.

Fourth would be Cody threw very well.

Now even though our run game improved we did it against a mediocre non-BCS team. While they are no OU it should give our guys some confidence.

Had to work so followed game on web - no great insight but - the D can play as we knew and the O can roll when it gets going; with Nebs poor showing on D changes the B12N for me. I think we have a shot!!! I am stoked. Go Buffs

I liked all the big time contributions we're seeing out of our young guys. Lockridge is very quick and he hits the hole quickly (memo to B Ellis...). Miller and Maiva on the line look like they've definitely got skills. J-Fly and Celestine were getting open or at least getting single coverage and making plays. They both need to step it up and beginning going up to snatch the ball, even when covered, but they both also made some big plays as well. Solder looks like a beast at TE. Speaking of TE, Solder looked good, but so did DeVree and Devanney (maybe he's more of a FB, but they list him as TE). This is considering our "starter" Geer is out this week. Seems like young guys on D-line are also starting to play well. Props to the whole D though, they played very well.

Fill in the next two years with more talent and...BAM we could be really good.

Not being able to see any highlights and just having read up on the game the thing I like seeing most is the fact that Hugh Charles had a 100 yrd rushing day! I feel like Hugh has never fully gotten the chance to be the number one guy and get a vast majority of carries, be it under GB or now Hawk. The guy has tremendous strength and speed and I really wish we could get him 15-20 carries every single game. Granted he has been nicked up a few times, but I really think he is the key to this offense if he can just put his head down and play hard.

By the way, does anyoneknow where a guy in NY can see some game highlights from yesterday?

Hugh made an absolutely sick move on his TD run yesterday. But, I wouldn't say he was exactly the "number one guy." Sumler, Lockridge, and even Ellis all got a lot of time on the field. I think if the Oline can start to create some holes on a more consistent basis, Hugh will be out there more because when he does get into space he makes things happen. But, Sumler and Lockridge both looked better at getting 3 yards when nothing was there, IMO.

- the fact that the team is moving in a positive direction together.
- areas of concern are being addressed from week to week.

Pass defense looked better and for the second straight game we have done an outstanding job of defending 3rd downs. Why couldn't we have been like that against CSU? We would have smoked the lammies.

Solder, A weapon that I think could become a big factor the next four years

The secondary, a QB like him fit the profile of the kind of kid that tore us to pieces over the last couple of years. He threw a bunch but didn't complete many.

Two Frosh linemen.....the starters must be encouraged to know they have some quaility backup rapidly developing.

A shutout, these days when even the Ball State's of the world are hanging forty points on the hucksters, a shutout is a feather in the cap of any team that can pull it off.

We did to Miami OH exactly what we were supposed to do to them and that's great!

I beleive that for 10 bucks a month, or 28 bucks for the year, you can get videos on CUBuffs dot com. The have two posted, the first half and second half. I have not subscribed, but would like to to see games I can't attend.

I liked seeing us shut out a team that beat the team that hung 40 on the hucksters in Stinkoln. I liked seeing Tech lose to a team that has no defense, we have a good defense now and I think we can take TTech, wheras I had them as a loss earlier.

I like thinking that we have a chance at the B12N--even this year!!

Love seeing the freshmen and RSfreshmen gaining experience and confidence every week!

Shutout

Solder

Miller and Maiva

Fullback lead blocks

RB's (Charles, Sumler, Lockridge) getting loose in the defensive backfield

Shaded seats on the West side

Overall, the game was a pure joy

I haven't seen any highlights from the game but I like the fact that the team went out and absolutely dominated a team they were supposed to dominate. It's been a couple of years.

All positives aside, Cody has to learn to look off his receiver. Too many times not only this past Saturday, but all season, he simply locks on his first target. Saturday he missed an easy 6 to Smith who was open on a post and instead fired to a double covered Sprague. Also, still too many drops by the WR's. Patrick Williams is having an awful season in this regard [dropped a pass on the first scoring drive then fumbled by the goal] and then Smith dropped a sure 6 in the 3rd qtr. That **** ain't gonna cut it against the wagons this Saturday.

Ya'll are moving in the right direction I think. Defense played very very well and Hawkins Jr. might be calming down a bit. Good job on Saturday.

As MBB pointed out on chat Saturday...

The defense was living "KILL!!!!!!!!!!"
The offense was thinking "kill!" (but that's still a big step in the right direction)
