I know I'm in the minority of Buff fans, but it bugs me to see the rammies lose. Well, it bugs me a wee bit. I really think that it may be time for Lubick to step down. I know they'll never fire him. But I, for one, believe that a good CSU is good for CU. I also pull for kids from the state. It isn't their fault that they aren't good enough for CU. :wink2:

Dont even get me started :bang:

Their streak will go to 11 games with a loss to TCU, then they beat San Diego State in their homecoming game. I kinda feel sorry for them too.

I pull for CSU - most of the time. Too many friends went there and I like Fort Fun. Gotta root for the Ramskins every day of the year but one. Besides when the Buffs beat 'em there is more cred if they are respected.

You guys are so much more fun when you win some games. Although I gotta say I'm entertained with the names for the next head coach being tossed out on that board right now. I think I'll stick to the GDB as much as possible over there.

"But I, for one, believe that a good CSU is good for CU"

How ? :confused::huh:

I just think it elevates the level of football in the state. I don't like the idea of the word "Colorado" being associated with a loser. It also is good for high school football in the state having good college programs. Also, it gets people in the state more excited about college football.

I havent heard the names that are being thrown around, and I probably dont want to.

I call BS

LSU is the ONLY decent college football program in Louisiana
and the word "Louisiana" isn't associated to a loser-
and I don't see how having both CU & csu as great programs is going to elevate high school football in Colorado-
Louisiana has very good high school football and only having LSU didn't hurt-
and last I checked people in Louisiana are excited about
the Bayou Bengals-

I root for AFA (except when playing CU)but csu can go to hell :smile2:

One problem with that comparison, LSU is about 500 times better than CU and CSU combined.

but my point remains....

you don't need to have more than one good/great college football program in your state so that your state is considered
a football hotbed-

Dude, you are really pumped over the Miami OH win, arent ya.

PS - It will take 7-10 years to get to where LSU is. Best case scenario

No it wont. CU went from 1-10 to 11-1 in 5 years and it can happen again. If you saw our freshmen lineman making pancake blocks in in their first games, you would see why our Line will be dominant in a couple years. Oh ya and it's a good possibility that Jon Major and Darrell Scott will be in this recruiting class.

So, if I bet you a buck, and we make it to a NC game, you would pay me $100? :smile2:

If CU makes it to the national championship game in the next ten years I will GLADLY give you $100.

But with the schedule CU has in place, and the conference CU plays in, and the opponents CU faces in that conference- I think the chances of getting to a title game are pretty freakin' slim.

I've said it many times before, CSU peaked in '02. Since then the quality of their athlete has continually slid down hill. The chickens, or goats if you prefer, are coming home to roost. CSU can't get the leftover CA recruits they used to make a living on with U$C, UCLA, Cal all doing well and now progarms like Boise St., CU, UDub, Ore and Utah are pulling a lot of CA recruits. CSU is sloping down and isn't likely to even be a player in the Mtn. Weenie anytime soon.

I don't think DBT is in the minority. When they announce scores of other games at Folsom, CSU always gets a cheer when they win and a groan when they lose. I think that in general, most CU fans want CSU to succeed for every game except one.

Tough loss in Houston. Too bad. I don't see things getting any better up in Ft. Fun anytime soon, either. :sad1:

yeah i would like to see the Lammies play at least .500 ball every year it helps the state and lends more credibility to the CU/CSU game.
