Best of wishes to the soccer team to keep the winning streak going!

Hope lots of fans can come out for Alumni Day, with it also possibly being the last home "good weather" match of the year. (The Buffs aren't home again until October 27th, and who knows what the weather gods may hold by then.)

Also, just to collect things for more casual fans, A couple more recent news items for the team-

Congrats to senior midfielder Morgan Stanton for being named Pac 12 Defensive Player of the Week! ( http://www.cubuffs.com/news/2016/10/11/soccer-stanton-named-pac-12-defensive-player-of-the-week.aspx )

And, the current week's edition of This Week in Colorado Soccer was released yesterday-

Note- for me, the Youtube version didn't stutter for me like the twitter version did. The Youtube one is at .

Goal Buffs!

Shymka gets to a Washington goal kick 1st and passes to Evans who beats a defender and loops the ball over the onrushing goalie.

And the Buffs lead again with beautiful dribble outside foot shot by Evans in the box off a Zuniga pass!

Halftime right now with that 2-1 lead. We really need this one.

That goal by Evans was pretty damn impressive. Can't see it very well in the tweet, but she controlled with a her head and a dribble in the air, then kicked the ball backward over shoulder to beat the goalie. I'm sure they'll be playing that on PACN tonight.

It looks like there is a serious leg injury to Shymka as she leaves the game with help in a lot of pain

Washington's shot is saved and off of the crossbar. They've completely controlled this half and the Buffs are struggling to hold onto the lead.

A laser shot by UW off of the crossbar and Tompkins manages to somehow get the rebound as it was going into the empty net

Like, one minute and then some indeterminate amount of time that only the officials know about, or it will all actually be over in one minute for real?

Way to go Buffs! (Don't know if running the equivalent to a football prevent defense for a whole half will always work, but it did today.)

Tompkins was incredible in goal.

Some great freshmen on this year's squad, in particular with her, Korniek and Shymka (who was hopefully not seriously injured today).
