Coach of the year

Schlabach says ... Mike MacIntyre, Colorado
i

After winning a total of two Pac-12 games in MacIntyre's first three seasons, the Buffaloes are 5-2 overall, 3-1 in the league, and in the thick of the Pac-12 South race.

From the hot seat to the bright lights. HCMM is deserving IMO.

They had us as the biggest surprise of the year too in their first half awards:

Biggest surprise: Colorado
Colorado has already surpassed its win total from last season and is on the brink of being ranked in the AP Poll for the second time this season after having been unranked for more than a decade. Raise your hand if you saw the Buffs' sudden resurgence coming. FPI sure didn't. It had Colorado ranked 54th in its preseason ratings with a projected record of about 5-7. In seven short weeks, the Buffaloes have skyrocketed to 15th in FPI, the largest increase of any team since the preseason, and are now the FPI favorites (58 percent chance) to win the Pac-12 South. Mike MacIntyre deserves a ton of credit for Colorado's massive improvement in all aspects of the game.

While we're on the subject of awards and publicity, Herbie had some nice things to say about the Buffs this morning on 104.3 The Fan while being interviewed by Schlereth & Evans. He still believes the Buffs will win the PAC-12 South. It's not up on their website yet, but I suspect it will be in time. Here's the link to where it should be posted.

Here it is, at about 26:00

Mac's team is kicking butt with essentially the same two-thirds roster players against teams that kicked their butts over the past two or three years. Coaching has to have something to do with this.

This original ESPN link from married2abuff allows you to vote. Vote for Mike Mac! If we're going to be hidden in the P12N and get the shaft on top 25, then let's take it into our hands to give this program exposure

Klatt's on with them right now, and agreed CU should win the South. Said they should run the table in fact.

Idk about beating the Huskies, but would love to whip those guys...THAT would be the statement win we need to get back on the national stage.

He meant run the table of games already on the schedule, I believe. Washington would be a handful.

Klatt also ripped having Ole Miss ranked above CU, btw. And ripped the Big 12 for wasting everyone's time and budget on fake expansion. And Texas for its selfishness in dealing with the LHN, etc. He'd fit right in on Allbuffs.

That's because CU has more wins over P5 opponents (3) than Ole Miss and LSU do combined (2).

I get nothing. Giant blank white space below each segment.
Definitely filters, I get that from work filters and at home on FF with my ad blocker on. When I turn it off, I see about half of the pics but can't vote. Same for IE. I was finally able to vote for Colorado and HCMM using Chrome, but can't see a way to vote for the best play.

BTW, Colorado leads as the surprise team but HCMM trailing miserably to both Peterson and Harbaugh.

That reminds me: I met my brother in law yesterday and caught up for a bit. He's a huge Michigan fan and alumni living in SoCal that tries to get back for at least one game a season. He rarely misses a game on TV, trying to plan family activities around their schedule. He got pinched due to a kid's sports game and missed the CU-MU game outright and lamented that he failed to record it.

He had no idea we were ahead in the 3rd quarter 28-24 and that our starting QB went out after taking back the lead. He was speechless - I am not even sure he believed me.

This is what happens when people don't actually watch the game. The narrative is "Hey, CU had the closest game against MU from an unranked team, good job, little guys!" without really meaning it.
