Have to beat these guys, they have a fricken two game winning streak on us. It would take a lot away from the OU win if we went in to Waco and laid another egg.

I do think it will be a letdown and tougher than most think, but the buffs, GULP.....finally beat Baylor, and defense once again dominates.

Buffs 24 Baylor 7

CU 38
baylor 6

489 yards total offense.

good teams put bad teams to sleep. they don't let off the pedal. they don't have let-downs. they go out and get it done. we have a good team. our Buffs are going to prove they can win big on the road. baylor is toast.

I'm beginning to think this defense could pull us out of most anything from this point on...

Buffs 24
Yogi Bears 10

Buffs 430 yards offense

As the defending champ (only time I'll probably ever be able to say that!), let me throw down a little somethin-somethin...

Do not go to sleep on Baylor. This is not your father's Baylor. They aren't world beaters, but they can play. That said, they are coming off a "rivalry" game against ATM, and they got punked. They held their ground for a while, but their tackling was shoddy and their WRs dropped a bunch of passes. I expect them to play well, and I would be worried about a CU letdown, especially with all the young players, but I think that Coach Hawk's efforts to preach staying off the mountain tops and valleys will keep the team focused. And I think the D is good enough to keep us in any game. Baylor keeps it close early, but Buffs pull away in the 2nd half.

CU 30
Baptists 13
Offense 390 yds (hey, it worked last time!):smile2:

CU 35
BU 14

Baylor gets a trash TD at the end of the game. CU's D will hold the vaunted bears to a mere 110 total yards of offense, while CU's offense will run up 125 rushing and 300 passing yards.

...Still waiting on the statue of liberty play.

Too many people giving Baylor credit. Their wins are Texas State, Rice & Buffalo all perennial members of ESPN's bottom 10. TCU blanked them and a wounded aTm team beat them handily. Yes, CU is coming off a big win and could have a let down, but I really do not think so. Hawk says that the Baylor loss last year was one of the most painful in his career.

Revenge game, defense dominates.

CU - 31
Baylor - 3 (if they are lucky)

410 yards total offense

CU-35
BU-14

The offense is getting better every week and will continue to do so. Our defense did a great job against MOOH's spread, and should be able to handle BU in the same way. Plus we're coming off a huge win and there's also the revenge factor. There will be no letdown after last years OT loss in Folsom.
