The NORTH IS BACK!!!

AWESOME WIN BUFFS!! Very enjoyable to watch, yall got a coach!

I even had fun watching the kitties... it makes last year no fluke!

NU does not have a sure win left on the slate, I have no idea what will happen, EVERY team in the north (save isu) could win this thing.

I feel like emailing Austin Statesman Kirk Bohls tonight and ask him How's that Big 12 South doing?:lol:

And to think some of your fans thought you would lose that game. Remember you have to strap the helmets on and play the game and anything can happen on the field. Great game guys.

OU is still a solid team and meeting them again would an interesting battle. I didn't think we had the talent base yesterday to compete. I was dead wrong. Our talent is good enough and the coaching and teamwork is top notch... like Patron or Don Julio

True, I really like this team. T. Wheatley and J. Dizon are a pleasure to watch. Wheatley was such a great shutdown corner yesterday that their ACE receiver had NO catches. Not to mention that he had that game-saving tackle that caused the ball to come out to sustain OU's drive. They are two clutch players that we'll miss greatly next year.

OU lost a close game (score, not stats) to a good opponent. They'll only get stronger and better as a team; they have the talent, but not the cohesiveness. I don't know how well we'd do on a neutral site (San Antonio) in early December, though. This will light a fire under OU and this game had all the markings of a trap game for them with Tejas next week (who also lost). Remember, OU hadn't played ANYONE yet and especially not anyone outside the stake of Oklahoma. For a team that has more talent than we do, they weren't prepared for the battle in the trenches for 4 grueling quarters. We won the line of scrimmage on both O and D and that won us the game, IMO. I'm glad the coaches didn't abandon their game plan and stuck with it even when we were down 17. Look out for us in 2-3 years. Hawk has planned this out the entire time and I'm glad he got his first big win.

If we win against KSU at their site we'll do just fine in the championship game . Cody needs to win against a quality opponent away from home now to grow. I'm glad he had this win as it'll give him the confidence to know that he can do it. The kid is a competitor.

not so fast my friends in the north, well not all of you... I believe the winners of the last 3 Big XII CCG, 7 of 11 total are from the Big XII south. in fact one team in the Big XII south has just as many Big XII CG wins as all of the Big XII north combined. I think it is a little bit to early to be saying that the north is equal to the south.... but I do believe, as one article was posted, this past weekend could be the starting point of closing the gap....

the topic on the table was RIGHT NOW. correct me if i am wrong, but the greats of yesteryear will NOT help out the south team any more than 7 national championships helped you saturday.

the north punked the top two south teams this weekend. clinging to the past is not going to make up for what happened in the here and now.
