Pretty good so far... Like how the team/program is progressing.. Seems like everyone is buying into what Hawk and the coaches are preaching..

Pretty excited about next week too.. I actually think we have a good shot at beating KjSU..

I like the way the schedule sets up - some challenges on the road - but good games at home; run the table and I say a high teens ranking and enough time to mature the program for a bowl win; the fact that ASU and FSU are still winning helps us in the rankings

FSU and ASU dodged a bullet playing us when they did.

If we play either of them right now I thinks the Buffs win. Seriously.

Probably so but whats done is done - we need to beat winners and if we lose - lose to winners

:woot:

This team has already exceeded my expectations for this year. 2 wins from a bowl game with lots of football to be played. I have no doubt we will get there.

All we need are two more wins and this team will have exceeded my expectations. A bowl game after last season will be huge, a bowl win will even be better. Mizzouri is without a doubt the best team in the North and perhaps in the Big 12, Kansas is looking good after yesterday even with their weak assed schedule. Target games for wins need to be K-State, ISU, Tech(because we own them), and Bugoha. I am not saying losses to Kansas and Missouri aren't bad, but from where we have come they can be excused.

If we beat K-State next week, we're looking at a really good season-ending record. I think the Buffs will win in Manhattan next week.

KU is a mystery in my mind. I have yet to see them play and that makes me nervous.

MU looks very good and NU gets up for the game with us becuase they know how seriously we take it.

I do believe a winning season may be in order afterall.

objectively, i think we've probably got some losses ahead of us, but it is sure nice that we are ALL (including the staff and players) raising the expectations bar at this point. before the season, virtually every fan would have been happy with a 6 win year and giddy with anything more.

i think we are looking at 7 wins minimum now. kjuco state will be very tough at home-- we are going to need to play much better than the baylor game to have a chance.

i think CU will roll ku at folsom. at t-tech is another really challenging game...

mizzery at folsom will be a huge game-- if we are still in the hunt at that point, i wouldn't count the Buffs out.

isu and the hapless fuskers will be Buff wins!

ranking level of difficulty for CU:

1. mizzery
2. tech
3. kjuco st.
4. ku
5. fuskers
6. isu

interestingly enough, i have heard that the coaching staff all along was setting the bar at a 8 win season. us fans were the cautious ones.

Too bad we only have one more South cupcake on the schedule :smile2:

Never thought CU would be 2-0 vs. the South this year, eh? Me neither.

To be honest, I was concerned we might not get two conference wins with such a young team. ISU looked like the best opportunity, with yesterday's game being the second best. At this point, the buffs look to have a good shot at every game on the schedule.

It has been a very fun year thus far.

I was hoping for 6-6 this year, 7-5 at best. And my dad and brother thought I was crazy to hope for that many wins. Now 6-6 would be a major letdown, and 7-5 wouldn't be too hot, either.

I LOVE IT!

I see us ending the regular season at 9-3, 8-4 at the worst. We win the Big 12 again and roll over South Florida in the Orange Bowl.

The good news - Mizzou is in Boulder as are the Fuskers - that helps; I think it is the perfect storm for a continued comeback year; one week at a time - just as USC about that

2 more wins to send the extended Hawkins Family to a bowl game.

- ISU and NU look like a :lock:

Best to look at the season one game at a time.
Bring on 5P in Manhattan

from here on out, it sets up pretty good with KU, MU, and NU in Boulder.

at Tech worries me, but we've seen the gimmick. a win at KSU and we are controlling our destiny.

The Red Raiders are one trick ponies.

The key to the Tech game is to play very physical. They are a total finesse team and if you try and dink and dunk with them then they have the win. If you line it up and run it down their throat and pound their receivers they cannot do anything.

Lol. Wow. yea. I can certainly say that this is an exciting year for all of football. And i thank God That we play mizzou and the FUskers at home. You better believe i'll be at both. Plus i 'll be at the Kansas game. The thing i noticed about the win against baylor is the question, "How do we handle success" . the team has handled failure well, it shows how much heart this team has. The Miami of OH was the first big win since... der.. jeeze in years? I'm super happy how we played the bears. But realistacly it could have been like 63 to like, 10. Like i said though, i'm just thankful we play Mizzou and a lot of the other toughies at home. Our crowd has been the 12th man this year.. and the Coaching staff treats this team like it should. Top 10 or were not where we should be. This is a top 10 program. ..(Not that the talent has been there, or is.) but this coaching staff WILL bring this program to where we need to be. The big 12 north is playing with a LOT of heart this year. Still does not match up to the talent in the south, but I Know the North wants it More.!
