Last week we emerged in ESPN's bowl projection picture again.

Though we only need to win two more to qualify for a bowl I think this weeks game is a critical step.

IMHO if we win this week it demonstrates we have turned the corner completely, we go 8-4 to 9-3 and go to a sweet bowl game.

If KSU wins and especially if they beat us up we go 6-6 and have to keep our fingers crossed for any bowl that will have us

I know the schedule is in our favor now with the lamehawks, misery and the hucksters (I mention them only for "auld lang syne") all at home, but I still think getting past KSU is a must even if it is close to put the frosting on the regular season.

I agree KSU was ranked and did beat Texas; an away win is always good esp against a team that hung around in the top 20 and showed at least on one day it could beat the mighty Lahghurns, i.e. Baylor was an away scrimmage; KSU is an away game

If we win this game, I think we could win out and get to the Big XII title game.

If we lose, I think we're looking at at least two more losses afterwards.

In other words, we'll find out what this team is REALLY made of this saturday.

I thought that the Baylor game would tell us a lot about this team. Coming off a huge win, going on the road, going is as large favorites to win, Baylor had won the past two, .... But, the Buffs came out and took care of business (even if it was sloppy). I think that is a very promising sign.

As has been pointed out, KSU is a another stepping stone for getting back to the top. On the road again, against a team that will compete for the North this year, underdogs, hostile crowd, night game, tough place to play, ... A loss would be a tough pill to swallow and a setback for this team that's so close to really creating some huge momentum for this season. If we win, then watch out North and I'm betting that we're in the Top 25.

Every game the rest of the way is winnable (tough games, but there isn't one left that I don't think CU has a shot in), but I think we need further momentum and buy in to really cement our return to the top (and the boost to recruiting and home crowds would be HUGE if CU can take care of business against the kitties).

Every game is important and KjSU is the next one..

didn't like how we played against them last year..

A win would be huge, a loss wouldn't be the end of the world. ISU is the only 'show up and you'll win,' type of game. The rest will be tough games imo. I know KU is playing well, but I still see that game as a CU win. And if you can beat Okie in Boulder, then they'd better sure as hell beat mizzery. I'm still not sold on those guys.

There is no such thing in college football as an "unimportant" or "not that important" game. They are all mega important. As is this one. Its not just about winning, its about kicking sand into a conference foe's face. Its about saying to them, "we own your sorry ass! Now crawl back into your hole!" Its about eliminating the ghosts of the pass, winning and improving in the present, and establishing yourself and your opponent for the future!

It's a huge game. If we win it certainly tells the Big XII, the nation, and recruits that we are walking the walk to getting back into the hunt for bigger things.

If we lose, it is a setback but not one that we can't overcome. We are still walking the walk, but the message gets a bit diluted.

Regardless - I am still so proud of what this team is doing...period!

I think a win this week is hugely important. We have 3 wins in a row but we sputtered a little on Sat against the bears and a good solid win this week would add a lot of much needed momentum to the team and put us in position to win the B12N outright. If we lose then I think we never get enough momentum to win the North and Mizzou goes to the CCG.

I think this win is more important to the fans than to the program. We have a very large number of young kids contributing significant minutes for their first visit to a hostile in conference venue. I expect to see mistakes that may be costly.

I view this as an education game that the young talent will learn a lot from. If we can pull out a win so much the better. I think we have the character on this team to not let a loss on the road to a tough opponent spiral into a season changing event.

I think this is going to be like the last several years in the North. A 5-3 record can win the North. What makes this game important is that it is against a North Opponent and KSU has a pretty attractive schedule the rest of the way. They get Okie State, ISU and Nebraska on the road with Baylor, Missouri at home. They would have the tie breaker over CU.

KSU plays tough and I was very surprised that KU beat them.

Are you satisfied that CU is "dangerous" and is known as a spoiler?

OR

Do you want to cheer for a team with a commitment to success?

CU has a 3-game winning streak, and has won it's first real road game in 23 months. A victory against KSU is important for CU to show they are consistent, discilplined, and worthy of respect. It sends a message to the conference that Colorado is back!

This is the last chance for Hugh Charles, Terrence Wheatley, Jordon Dizon, Tyler Polumbus, Kevin Eberhart an a dozen other seniors to walk out of Manhattan with a win. How do you think the seniors feel about this game?

If Coach Hawk wins out the regular season, he'd have a 500 record with CU. Bet he isn't satisfied with a 12-12 record. Do you think he'd settle for a minor bowl when his team is shaping up to be a legitimate contender in the Big 12? Why should Prince come out on top in the battle of young B12 coaches?

Good is the enemy of great. For CU to be great, beat k-State!
