As it looks right now, NU could struggle to make a bowl game this year with their remaining schedule. If that happens, that will be the second time in the last four years the skers don't make a bowl, also Cally continues to be terrible on the road, has yet to beat a top 15 program and continues to be terrible on the road.

With the expectations in Lincoln, how would that go in Fuskerland? I would hate to see it, actually I would love to.

Seriously though, that is a big problem.

Here's your remaining schedule and what I think

Okie st: This is a tossup, OSU is not that great, but they're not bad, almost beat A&M on the road yesterday.

A&M: Fran is terrible on the road, but once again NU barely beta BAll st at home. Tossup

@ Texas: L

@ KU: L

KSU: Tossup, but more than likely a L, I can't figure KSU out this year.

@ Colorado: L It is a rivalry game and I'm sure the skers will come to play, but I just don't see them beating CU this year. Buffs are hungry for a win over NU.

To be fair, Cally has yet to beat a Top 20 team.:smile2:

I cant see them losing to both KU and KSU. However, I'd now say its possible. The wheels are have or about to fall off unless someone pulls the together. We'll see.

Personally I hope they win out the rest of the year. I'd hate to see Cally go so soon. :smile2:

I honestly see us losing all of those games. Okay we may beat Okie State, but I'm marking aTm as a loss, Texas as a loss, Kansas as a loss, KSU as a loss and Colorado as a loss. We won't make a bowl and that won't be acceptable. No more excuses about talent or not having someone in there it comes down to coaching. If we only win one more game this season we better see some mass casualties or the natives are going to kill someone.

Look at it in a positive way BRI, last night was evident that your offense has caught up with your defense.:drink2:

honestly, the north games scare me more than the south games. the wheels are off and the north looks better than they have in a long time.

If this season does not bring about change (staff) this years slide may not be the end of the bad times for NU.

Lol. Who knows anymore.! GOD. HOnestly I want Nebraska to be 9-0 or like 9-1 every time we play em. I want them to be at the top of their game when we play em. but sheesh.. I just don't get it. i mean good god! you all seen their recruits for next year? holy hell.... They just don't play with the heart i'm seeing in CU. I DO think however that they "could" win out their season. I dunno how motivated the can get.. lol, cause i've never really seen em play with an un accountable amount of passion, but they Do have talent. And if they get UP. They'll get up. They probably are a dangerous team,... eh.. Although i could be wrong... but i think when they come to CU... I know they'll be up for that. I say CU could and needs to win out from here. Big12 championship rematch? Anyone got any predictions?

Okie Lite will put up 600 yards of offense up against us.

A&M will put up 500 yards of offense against us.

UT will put up 550 yards of offense against us.

KU will put up 550 yards of offense against us.

KSU will put up 500 yards against us.

CU will put up 550 yards against us.

You guys don't seem to understand.

I'm dead serious.

Our defense is about as effective as a bag of wet hair.

Nebraska goes winless the balance of the year. Some type of coaching change after loss number 5 but losses just the same. The skid is at full speed and there just isn't enough brakes to stop it. Too many teams have played second fiddle to the huskers in the past and this is everyones chance to not only beat them but beat them down. The repricussions of this season will be felt for many years to come. Recruiting will suffer, financial support will suffer, recruiting new coaches will suffer. This is merely the beginning. It's going to get worse for the Huskers. They are slow, weak, confused and without energy. Will the last one out of Memorial Stadium turn out the lights and say a few words before going home.

I wouldnt pronounce them out of the bowls yet....

These are kids, they can come with emotion and just play instead of trying to think of what they should do. They have good athletes.

I think they will win a few games because thats the way college football is.

I do not like however, what Mizzou did at the end. I hope Hawk would have just kicked the field goal.

ok I know I said I would stop with Nebraska talk, but NU is the last team on earth I would feel sorry for. I would be calling for more points if we were up 100-0 on them. MORE MORE MORE!!!!!

i was only talking about the fake.

I hope Hawk would line em up to score, but on a 4th down... a fake field goal is a little much.

bull**** not against Nebraska. Do anything you possibly can to pay those ****ers back. Fakes, more points, whatever it takes to humiliate their ass.

Here is my question on why kNu sucks:

Are the recruits from the past few years overrated?

If not, is the coaching really that bad?

Is it a little of both?

I'm just curious how the almighty fuskers with their wealth of "talent" could be so bad. Either way I am really enjoying the Slash led revolution in corn country!

A little of both but mainly coaching. First of all, too much goes into star rankings for recruiting. What Cally might be getting is athetic kids with all the physical tools to be good (speed and size), however, it takes a lot more than that. It takes heart, and that is something that Hawk is apparently doing. REcruiting solid athletes, but not great, however the athletes have heart. I actually like CU's recruits the last two years better than NU's, although NU had better rankings.

Second, look at Cally's track record, at the Raiders the team had no chemistry and hated Cally. Same thing going on in Lincoln.

Just my .02

Last I checked, kNU had the exact same record as my favorite college football team. As tempting as it is, I'm going to wait until we have a game or two on them before I start dancing on their grave.

Chicken :smile2:

Your observation is correct but misses the point. The direction and feeling around the two programs is way different. CU fans came into the year with lower expectations that Nebraska fans (rightly so). Most people on this board and even over at netbuffs say they would have been happy with 3-3 right now. While CU did not look good against ASU or FSU they did not get blown out. Since the CSU game, the Buffs have taken care of business in the games they should win. CU feels like a program on the rise. Nebraska feels like a program where the wheels have come off.

Can Callahan pull it out? Dunno. I don't follow Nebraska closely enough to have a clue. When Neu went to Washington and started the year off poorly, he motivated the team by getting them to win the NW. They finished the year off by beating OU, OSU and WSU. For all his faults, that was a good move. Not sure if Cally can do something like that.

:yeahthat:

For one there is still half the season to play. Two, CU isn't very far removed from a 2-10 season. Three, I'm not nearly as enamoured with the fuskers potentially going down the ****ter this year as I am with my favorite team's resurgence. Sure the fuskers suck right now, but I don't give a **** until after the ISU game.

I get all of that, but I have celebrated the demise of the pHuskers far too many times, only to see them rally or us backslide, and ending up on the short end of the season finally and/or the North standings.

I guess what I am saying is that I would rather celebrate what we are doing right now, rather than act like a bunch of Rammies, who care more about the fortunes of their "rivals" than they do about their own team.

Which is not to say that I didn't get a chuckle out of the kNU - MU score when it was texted to me on Saturday night.

I'd love to be celebrating the demise on Fusker Nation on November 24th. Until then....

:gobuffs: Take care of business!!!

Actually, we do have a game on them in conference play.:smile2:

Exactly, and why not celebrate both.

Linc - I know you have a different view of kNU because you live there but what happens if the Red Menace end up beating us in November? There's still A LOT of football to be played so although I do get the feeling from the team & fans alike that our programs are heading in opposite directions, I'd love for Hawk to get his 1st kNU victory before we start dancing on their grave.

I am not taking anything for granted because of the fact stated above. I still remember the pain I felt all of last season.

I am celebrating each week that the Buffs show progress and take care of business. I look forward to some very good games. This is setting up to be one of the most entertaining Big XII years that we have seen - EVERY remaining game is looking like a tough one, which keeps this season's entertainment value very high.

I agree that could happen but NU has not looked good so far this year and I don't see that changing all of a sudden as I think there issues run pretty deep right now. There is something going on with NU that is more than just X's and O's and talent.

NU reminds me of the last few years of GB's era when they are barely beating the no-names and getting creamed by anyone decent.

We'll see what happens but there is a lot of unhappiness in Fuskerville right now and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it:lol::thumbsup: and why not, I had to listen to a lot of **** last year.:sad2:

having lived in nebraska, i TOTALLY UNDERSTAND where you are coming from. unless anyone had had that tragic torture of a living arrangement, do not get too preachy to our braska buffs.

you have no idea what unrelenting assholes even the most otherwise kind people turn into once they put on that red shirt and glasses.

Or people that have friends that are huskers. We go through a lot of ****, especially after 30-3
