fired from Minnesota, tanned rested and ready. Now being mentioned as a potential candidate for Arky, aTm and yes, the land of Corn. It is going to be an interesting ride on the coaching carousel Dec. and Jan. Possible open jobs are many in number:

Arky

Pitt

GT

aTm

Baylor

NU

Ole Miss

UCLA

WSU

Arizona

CSU

Michigan

LSU

SMU

and probably a few more I can't remember. Add to that some programs will be gunning for another team's coach (ala Tedford and Tuberville) and it could be a wild offseason.

LSU and Michigan? LSU is only open if Miles goes to UM. And I don't see that happening.

His seat is hot from what I understand. The list is just those jobs that might come open so it is possible some of those guys survive for another year. But a lot of the 'Cat faithful are ready to pull the plug on Mikey.

Arizona? Really?

You think Mike Stoops is in trouble?

Absolutely. He might get another year, but he is not assured of that.

Another name to watch is Dan McCarney. He's coaching at South Florida right now, but you have to think someone will give him another chance.

As an alum of UofA, Norm Chow would have been a better hire than Stoop Jr. Speakin' of which, let's hope Numbraska does not go after Chow.

Anyone think Pinky at Mizzou might be in trouble too? I think if they tank the rest of the season he may be out as well. Just in time for them to bring Barney back....

Good news is that by season's end if Pinky ends up on the hot seat then the B12N went to either us or KSU.

I highly doubt it. Pinky gets a pass this year after putting the scews to NU. JMO.

I don't care who you are (unless you are a top program in a decent location - leaving out NU), I would not want to be looking for a coach this offseason.
