When my dad chuckled at the NU score yesterday at the game, I told him to enjoy this season for Nebraska because I thougt they were making steps towards fixing things in Lincoln. He said ya, but he's hopeful they hire someone like OU hired Howerd Shnellenberger. Could happen, you never know, even with Dr. Tom, I would say it's about 50/50 they hire a homerun or another fake.
i thought he was not calling the plays?
oh the irony!
Yeah, I'll talk NU/Tex A&M with ya, with anybody. I was at the game and just got home. I'll answer any questions anybody may have.
But first, a few preliminary thoughts:
What I find ironic is that the option is an "outdated and obselete" offense and Callahan is "above" running it. Too good to run the option, if you will. And today Texas A&M ran the option against Bill Callahan's Nebraska Cornhuskers at will. Not saying that we should run it, or that I'm bitter that we don't incorporate it in our offense in some way, but since it's so obsolete, and outdated, shouldn't we be able to stop it?
I found that somewhat amusing in a twisted sort of sense.
I don't think the option is obsolete. It's hard to run it against a good defensive team because they are too fast and they disrupt the option.
Then again, if you build your teams offense around the option then it can work in college. However, being built around that makes your team predictable and when you meet a top 5 team they usually kick your ass.
Did they look like total dog **** on both sides of the ball or did they play hard?
but I think Cally wants out.
then he needs to stop being the **** he always is and quit.... oh wait he wants his 3mil+ for ****ing up this program....
I for one am done with their soap operas; I will worry about Neb only the day after turkey day - until then......."where the hell is Nebraska - heard of the place once a long time ago"
