KU or Mizzou?

We had a chance to beat KU, and Mizzou punked us good. I would have to say Mizzou is better, but then again, KU punked Nebraska with 76 yesterday. That is gonna be a really good game in a couple weeks.:wow:

meh. both of them will see a loss within a month. new orleans is my holiday playground! (i hope!)

mmmmm  i could be happy with the sugar. i'll bet ubt would not sneeze at it either.

SUGAR! (ba ba ba ba ba bom)

awww HONEY HONEY! (ba ba ba ba ba bom)

Dare I point out that the next line of that song raises the always volatile subject of candy??? :smile2:

SHAMPOO IS BETTA, IT GOES ON FIRST AND CLEANS THE HAIR!!

(come on, I can't be the only Buff fan who loves this movie)

Personally I think Mizzou has a good, no not good, excellent shot at beating OU in a rematch. I do think MIzzou beats KU and then beats OU in the CCG. Sorry, I just don't see the Sooners having much of a chance in a rematch against a great offense like Mizzou's. JMO

This game will be so hard to pick because they are even playing it at Arrowhead. If the winner plays OU for the Big 12 then I will root for North team. It is refreshing to see one of these two teams getting their moment in the sun. I might go with Mizzou just because KU at least gets to pound everyone in basketball year in and year out, that is why I never truly feel bad for the Duke basketball team...lol

I think the pasting of Nebraska by KU says more about the huskers than it does about KU, there are clearly problems with that squad. If you look at what else KU has done this season, the have nice road wins at CU, aTm, and KSU, all of which they deserved to win but could have also gone the other way. KU is a good but not great team, a legit top 20 team which had the good fortune of not having UT, Tech, or OU on the schedule.

Mizzou, on the other hand, beat Illinois, pounded Tech and CU, and played a very good game in Norman. They have much better talent on the offensive side of the ball and the best qb in the conference. I think they are a legit top 10 team.

thats okay. people did not give okie a chance at beating the horns this season.

nor did they pay much attention to my prediction that usc would not win their conference.

some did not even see the buffs beating the shuckers.

BOW to preacha! :smile2:

Mizzou definetly. Kansas has the 107th easiest schedule and hasnt even faced a top 30 team this year. If the same Mizzou team shows up as yesterday I dont think its even a contest.

to play devil's advocate, linear comparisons simply do not work in evaluating cfb.

in the end, it is about what product is on the field that day, and how their tools match up, rather than who has faced this or that and what the outcome of this or that can be.

kansas can score lightning quick. they have some shortcomings.

mizzou can bring it, but they too have shortcomings.

in the end, NO ONE knows what is going to happen, so one may as well hope for a great time in the big easy! :smile2:

Fair enough. I still stand by a Mizzou win.

MArk my word, if it's OU/MU in the CCG, MIzzou will win.

I agree with this. OU has only wins in even years 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006...

oh well time to break that pattern. and as OU pounded the crap out of mizzery in Norman (dont forget mizzery scored with 12 seconds left against OU's 2nd and 3rd teamers on defense to cut it to 10) I'd much rather play Kansas.....

Pounded the crap out of? I think your colors are showing just a tad. MU actually led in this game late in the third, and had more first downs and total offense in the game. OU jumped up by two TDs late in the fourth after two quick Mizzou turnovers, I really don't think OU got to their third teamers in there in that one.

Mizz has the better QB and more offensive targets.
KU hasn't exactly proved themselves against any top programs, unless you put KSU or A$M in that category. What would KU's record be if they played CU's schedule?

the answer to that is the same as the age old question: "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?"

"the world may never know."

OU did not "pound the crap out of" Missouri. MU had a 24-23 lead in the 4th quarter, and they also outgained Oklahoma. Oklahoma took control of the game in the 4th quarter by running the ball and taking advantage of turnovers. They had two TOs, one was a botched hand-off that was returned 12 yards for a TD. Oklahoma also got the ball on MU's twenty-four after Chase threw an INT.

If Missouri can play a cleaner game in a rematch, they have a good shot.

but they didn't, son, so we are going to have to go with what the scoreboard. in the end, it was not a three point game.

so you can accept it, or you can  about it like the 5th down.

I think instead of pondering the 5th down I will look forward to a rematch with Oklahoma. Also, you give off a creepy vibe calling a stranger son.
