Oregon at Arizona

Looked like some potential fireworks on the 'Zona sideline between the coaches

Ol' Lou is a bit squirrelly, and I'll be a happy camper if ND never wins again, but...I have to admit, I like his pep talk.

I saw that as well. He gave a good speech, I liked as well. You can see he's a bit of a locker room coach. He probably relied on his assistants to get him wins. :smile2:

Craig James; "The seaons has come down really to two undefeated teams; Hawaii and Kansas". Who'd have thunkd it. :wow:

Definitely a shocker that Kansas is in the mix...that said, I think Mizzou is going to whack them.

If this result stands, I will have to root for Kansas or Mizzou to get to the big game. I really don't like either of them - but I can't stand OU and don't want them getting a shot. Had enough of the OU fans around me before the CU game - has been pretty nice not hearing from them since.

I don't think so. Kansas is much more solid fundamentaly and they are most likely better coached. Pinkel = Belotti. Mangino is a little harder to pigeon hole. I think KU runs the table up to facing OU, a forgone conclusion, in the big 12 title game. KU will be #2 on Sunday if they win this weekend.

I don't know, I wouldn't mind Oklahoma winning the title this year. I'd love to be the 1 in that 13-1 season.

I realize that Oregon changed their offense after Leaf arrived on campus, but I'm pretty sure the play calling doesn't very much to do with what's going on here. I'm pretty sure that Brady Leaf just blows.

Maybe so. And actually, I would root for KU to win and play OU. We've already seen a Mizzou-OU game. I'd like to see KU-OU if for no other reason than they haven't played this year.

Brady Leaf is already a better NFL quarterback than Ryan ever was!

you should try making it to the right tailgates. :wink2:

I do - I throw my own :wink2:

BTW - nothing personal about my not wanting to see OU get a shot. If they do - have a great trip!

With the Quack out of the way, the Big XII probably now has 3 teams that control their own destiny to make the MNC game. KU will probably go to #2, assuming they don't screw the pooch against ISU. If they win out, they should be in. If Mizzou beats KU, then OU, that should move them to #2. If OU beats either of them in the conference title game, they are probably in.

Right now, Okie Light probably has the best chance to keep the conference out of the MNC game, if they beat OU and the Sooners go on to beat KU or Mizzou...

gaters rawk!

if you had come to sackygate, you would have been able to observe three sooner fans in action. the two adult versions were innocuous. the worst the kiddo did was try to eat sacky out of pancakes.

having been exposed to the dirt burglers quite frequently, i can say that i have twice seen poor behavior, and once read about abominable behavior.

the once has been discussed. there is no excuse for the okc guy's behavior at all. the other two incidents are rather mild in comparison -- on national tv, a sooner fan put his arm around a tiger fan and said, "YOURE UGLY!", and then there was the sooner smack talker standing down our band and hecking them. he was easily checked. i said that it was clear that he missed his morning prozac, and inquired if a bloody mary might help calm his nerves instead.

the guy looked at me as if incredulous that i just said what i did, laughed, and accepted the offer.

not a bad track record as a group. i will keep spying though. :smile2: last night, my sister in law asked if i wanted to see the sooners take on the zorros in lubbock on saturday.

that means i can attempt to verify the red carpet that skidmark experienced, and look for any poor examples of sooner behavior -- it could be that i am insulated from the ruffians by a plethora of really awesome fans each time i see a game with my in-laws. :wink2:

Unless the pigoen hole has the same diameter of the Hindenburg.

Seriously, this is huge for KU, the table is set, they just need to finish it off.

BTW, the spread option is fun to watch with a guy like Tuitama, Dixon or White running it. IMO it is the wave of the future in CFB. The WCO is dead.

Now that the Ducks have been beaten this opens the way to a rematch between OU and LSU, because there is no way that KU will get past Mizzou or Oklahoma.

Actually - I really have never had too much problem with OU fans. The ones around me just like to give a lot of good-natured ribbing and I have had the upper hand for most of the season ("scoreboard"). They obviously don't like that so they have been very quiet up until recently. They treated us very well in Norman in '89 when I went there and I would go back.

My problem is that I just don't like the team and wouldn't mind seeing someone else get a shot....hell, they don't need any more of a recruiting edge than they already have on us.

Change that - I do have problems with one :stupid:

The scenario I'd like to see is OU beating KU in the B12 CCG, but have the BCS rank both 12-1 teams as #1 and #2 in the country.

Then the J-Hawks wax the 'clips in the title game.

It will never happen, but the Sooner nation reaction would be priceless.
