Nebraska will not beat us

moron, you know nothing about football pal.

I'm sure you said OU would roll the buffs. I'm sure you thought NU would not roll KSU last week

Yes, I know nothing about football - that is why I picked ISU to beat the Buffs, and you picked the Buffs to roll. I believe you called me a "moron" last week, too.

Nebraska's offense rolled Kansas State last week. The Buffs defense is horrible. I predict a 14-21 point Nebraska victory. I think the Buffs have cashed it in.

I see there is a lot of kool aid in here.

Nebraska will roll the Buffs.

Way too much kool-aid Lt.. .. Some of you guys are just brushing aside last week's debacle at Iowa State like we are just going to forget it and get back to winning.. Sorry, ain't going to happen..Games like those end up being another loss the next week for mediocre teams like us.. I see another 2005 game coming because one we can't get a consistent pass rush and we can't cover anyone.. Nebraska will spread us out all over the field and throw it all over the place..

Make mine 42-17 Nebraska..

And how sad is our program where Nebraska is going to come into Boulder and win again and then two days later fire their coach..Solich did and now Clownahan is going to do it.. Frickin pathetic..

Thanks Hawk.. :sad2:

No, we just are living in reality.. Hey, I'm not as smart as Lt, I actually thought we would roll Iowa State last week.. Actually we were until the coaching staff sabotaged the game for us..

I'd be shocked if CU won Friday.. They win Friday, I would actually consider it a bigger surprise than the OU win..

Defeatism at it's worst. Why don't you suggest that those young men clean out their lockers, take the week off, and stay in bed on Friday.

Give this team some credit. They will play to win. And win they will.

Just because I don't think we'll win doesn't mean that I don't want them to win..

I want CU to kick the crap out of Clownahan and the Huskers.. I just unfortuntely don't see it happening.. If they can't keep a 21-0 lead against Iowa State with a bowl game on the line, what makes you think they can beat a Nebraska team that will pass the ball all over the place on Friday?

Dumbest statement of the year

Dumbest statement of the year

I seem to recall, I was one of the only few here who thought CU had a chance in that game against OU.. :smile2:

Nebraska's offense is much more sophisticated than OU's.. It will move the ball through the air on CU's defense with ease if its not real windy..

What we need to do is make a commitment to run the football, and then when you doubt that, you run it even more. All passes need to be quick slants and screens. Control the clock, demoralize their offensive game plan by controlling the time of posession. Make Throatslash outcoach himself. If we open up and start throwing the football right off the bat, I will vomit in my mouth.

I recall Baylor's and Tech's QB's passing the ball all over the place, too. I think CU's defense was pretty beaten up in the Mizzou game and wasn't playing at full strength in Ames. I don't know if T-wheat will play, or if Dizon is still groggy from his concussion. But the bye week helps.

Also recognize the nubs had an emotional release against KState and could just as soon fall flat as remain hot.

This is how you will beat us! Our defensive backs play 5 to 7 yards off of the receivers opening up those quick routes. You could eat us alive with quick slants all day because Iowa State was doing it on us quite a bit as well. Our LB's are decimated with injury so the ones that are out there besides Octo are going to be slow to read the screens as well. Our defensive line has had a hard time stopping the run this season and our LB's haven't tackled well either. I hope Beach doesn't call Hawkins because this gameplan would f*&k us up!

We may not be good, but what has Nebraska shown this year that makes you think they will put together two good games in a row?

Nebraska has shown that they can score and score a lot.

52 points against Nevada
31 points against USC
41 points against Ball State
35 points against Iowa State
39 points against Kansas
73 points against Kansas State

Nebraska is averaging almost 32 points a game.

While Colorado is scoring a bit better than last year, their high scoring mark was 43 points against Baylor six weeks ago. Since then the Buffs haven't had nearly the offensive production. The Buffs are only averaging 24 points per game.

Nevada also surrendered 52 points to perennial powerhouse Nicholls State.

Against USC, Nebraska scored 21 of their 31 points in the 4th quarter, when their team was already down by 39 points, USC had 2nd and 3rd teamers in the game, and the outcome was entirely decided. Almost all of those points are the very definition of garbage points.

Ball State gave up 38 points to Eastern Michigan and 58 to Central Michigan. Guess Nebraska should be happy that they aren't squaring off against the mighty Chippewas next week, eh?

Iowa State's 3 losses prior to their loss against Nebraska came against Kent State, Toledo, and I-AA juggernaut Northern Iowa. Any results against Iowa State from the early season should immediately be thrown out of consideration.

Somehow I feel that the 39 points they scored on Kansas are somewhat sullied by the 76 points their team surrendered. They also turned the ball over FIVE TIMES in that game!

The Kansas State game is legit, but without any other performances from this season that even remotely resembled what they did last week, can you really build much of an argument around that one performance? If anything, at this point you'd have to assume that it was an aberration.

Dude, you don't have a clue do you? You're telling me Nebraska has a better offense than Texas Tech? Those points are irrelevant, NU has their work cut out for them. CU IS FAVORED!!!!

I swear, if CU wins you are not gonna hear the end of it from me.

Wha??

perhaps you could point out the word which is tripping you up?

plain as night and day, i am saying that you have no platform to stand on and lecture about "reality" as you have no clue what will happen on friday.

if you prefer to think we will lose, groovy. you are free to.

just don't try to push the thought here that you are the dealer of anything accurate, as there is no way of knowing.

Please re-read the posts and find the one where I said something about "reality".

CU was favored against Iowa State and how did that turn out?

Colorado was favored against Colorado State, Miami, and Baylor, how did those turn out? Colorado was the underdog against Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State, Florida State, and Arizona State, how did those turn out?

LEAPING LIZZARDS!!!

Please accept my apologies - the slade and jimmy show combined with fatigue from a long day prompted me to lost track of who I was replying to. *blush*.

Indeed, you did not say a thing about reality at all, only Jims did.
