Alabama UL Monroe

How that team hung with LSU only to lose to UL-Monroe 2 weeks later blows me away. They must have given up on the season or were looking forward to the Iron bowl next week.

Losing to a Sun Belt team when you are Alabama = no cred.

How about losing to Miss St last week? Makes one wonder if Saban is losing his team.

On the flipside, you have to be a little happy for Sylvester Croom bitch slapping his alma mater two years in a row after being passed over for Shula. He has MSU bowl-eligible for the first time in 7 yrs.

They have had several suspensions and for whatever reason John Parker Wilson has just nosedived for the Alabama. I always thought he sucked anyhow but he managed to play above himself against Tennesee and LSU. Their demise will be very shortlived, they will probably end up with one of the top recruiting classes in the nation.

But they will still be Bama. They're paying Nick Saban $4 million for this?:lol::lol::lol:

No they are paying Nick $4 million for this:

and they are awaiting word for this:

That is what they are paying him $4 million for, and don't forget about this:

The problem is UA paid CMS $2 million for a couple of years.

The 'word on the street' is this bunch is soft. Several players who where in the 2-deep last year do not see the field now. It is part of what CNS calls 'the pro ess'. CNS only plays the players who practice hard. Expect several [some people say 5-10] transfers after the season. But there is no excuse to losing to ULM except getting outplayed and outcoached.

The good thing about playing your biggest rival last is that game can make your whole season.

Good luck with the fuskers.

The problem is the entire fanbase for Alabama is delusional. They thought that bringing in Saban would instantly make them contenders in the SEC. Too bad Alabama is still the second best team in their own state. Auburn ain't going away anytime soon. Getting six in a row next weekend will so great.

The problem with barn fans is most of them hate Alabama more than they like the barn.

Is CSU a land grant university that specializes in agriculture/veterinarian courses of study?

Does CU have a law school where most of the political figures of the state attended?

mmm..

:wow:

Holy ****, you just hit it right on the head. Was that really just a guess on your part?

Auburn is not like CSU. Not even close. I will admit some fans do indeed seem to hate Bama more than they like Auburn, but Auburn has a good following. Jordan-Hare is pretty full most of the time. You do have to admit Charlie that some Bama fans act like they deserve to be a top 5 team every year. It goes both ways.

Of course I'm biased, so I might not see the whole picture.:smile2:

i agree with you, but i went to auburn. my view of the state of alabama is similar to that of ohio. while UA does have the law school as charlie mentioned and thus many alums in influential positions, it also has more of the fans who never went to school and are more die hard fans than those who actually went there. i did not see as many non alum fans in regards to Auburn, and I as well as many of my friends who went to alabama attribute that to many of the Auburn alums moving to other areas of the southeast after graduation, similar to CU and its grads. While Auburn is known for having one of the best vetrinarian programs in the country and some ag type programs, it also known throughout the rest of the southeast as one of the better engineering and architecture schools. if you have ever been to alabama you will know that other than NASA there are not many other opportunities for those types of degrees.

We own CSU at growing and smoking the weed as well. Aggies my ass!

Are they paying Saban to make dumb**** statements to the media? Saban is all class!

Saban's history as a coach includes losing to South Florida when he was at LSU. He will have good seasons and bad seasons. The guy is a pure business man, if there isn't something in it for himself, then he's gone. Alot like the corporate world we live in today. If somebody offers him better, he will leave Bama. I don't know many corporations that stick up for their people during bad times - they show you the door. It's just all part of the culture we are forced to live in today.

Im not sure Alabama got the best guy. My dad who lives in South Florida didn't think much of him. Only one of his NFL picks contributes. He's rude to the media and apparently has a Napoleon complex. He lies too; saying he wasn't talking to Alabama while he was the whole time. Obviously the rest of the story needs to play itself out.

He is rude to the media. The rumor was he would even talk contract until after the NFL season was over. That meant wait from Thanksgiving to after New Year and we will talk.

I am sure you meant CNS lost to UAB when he was at LSU.

Bama has many Homer fans. No doubt about that.

But where is the fanbase slap for UM for getting guy pushed out whose winning percentage is over 75. The media says UA has a bad fans so much everybody believes it. Every team has fans that think they are going 11-0 every year. Dont you guys remember the dawg fan that come in here and said they had 4 first rounds picks on their D-line. He thought he was doing you guys a service letting you know how bad they were going to kick your ass. No way I would think we had the 'classiest fans' just a bunch just like most other schools.

He does that for free.

Fair point. I will admit some Auburn fans have unrealistic expectations (thinking the school can do better with Tuberville). I would say most SEC schools are a lot alike in that regard. Here's to a big Auburn win tomorrow night.:wink2:
