Rushing the field.

Rushing the field after every win is lame.

Agreed. I don't mind the students doing it and their enthusiasm, but save those moments for the huge upset (NU '01, OU '07). Not even a good upset, but a big one.

When I was student last year I never quite understood rushing the field over such great wins as TTech (even though we dominated them 30-6) and ISU. Most of the people that rushed didn't know much about football and don't really follow CFB now that they've graduated. The only game I would have rushed in the last 3 years would have been the OU game this year. To comeback and win it, awesome.

Either way, a victory over the corn is a damn good win, even if they are on the downswing and we are on the upswing. I'll take it!

the rush was meant as a support to the seniors. i am not going to question it. the fans did not heckle any of the huskers, and were all about hugs and lifting seniors on their shoulders. they did not throw trash or embarrass the university. i think it is time to ease up off of them.

While I think rushing the field has gotten way out of hand in recent years, I'm not too worried about it. Once the students get used to winning a lot of games (this will of course be ingrained in their systems in 2008 and 2009), they'll stop rushing every time we beat a mediocre/good team.

Personally, I don't think you rush unless you knock off a top 5 team unless there's extreme circumstances (2004 CSU game a fine example), but it didn't irk me too much that the fans did it yesterday. The seniors deserved it.

Yeah the 04 csu game was a good example. Now I think I speak for everyone when I say I hope we never rush the field after beating the lambs again.
