Mizzou vs Oklahoma - Big 12 CCG

Is anybody else recording the Game? I am TiVoing it and just curious if anyone else caught what Brent Musberger said right after OU made a 3rd and 7 stop on MU at the 9:30 mark in the 1st? He said of Curtis Lofton, who made the tackle:

"The Big XII Defensive Player of the Year, take a bow Mr. Curtis Lofton! 133 Tackles!" :jawdrop:

I rewinded it, and yep, he said it! I suppose that's what Jordon get's for playing in the "lost" time zone. That and not making the AARP All American list, or whatever it was that was posted on the board today.

Musberger can eat a dick. Dizon was the Big 12 defensive player of the year, not the OU LB.

Ah, well, in that case, the AP writers (who I would be willing to bet didn't watch a single CU game this season) can eat a sack full of ****s.

I didn't know the AP was out (or that they even did conference rankings). Got a link to them?

I couldn't find anything on the googles but this:

http://www.denverpost.com/colleges/ci_7595156

"...said Oklahoma junior linebacker Curtis Lofton, who split 2007 Big 12 defensive player of the year honors with Colorado's Jordon Dizon. (Lofton earned the media award, and Dizon got the nod from the league's coaches)."

Also, there's this, now that I dig a little deeper, which doesn't even mention Dizon:

Which is BS

Doesn't surprise me they don't mention the coaches vote. The article came from the AP.

So Stoops said Lofton is the most productive LB ever at OU with 132 tackles, 2 INTs, 2 forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery.

Dizon had either 149 or 160 tackles (depending on whether you look at the NCAA stats or the official CU stats - I have no idea why they wouldn't be identical), 2 INTs, 1 forced fumble, 4 sacks, and no fumble recoveries (should be 1, but they counted the blocked punt he picked up vs. NU as a punt return).

So Dizon had a better season than any OU LB ever, eh?:smile2:
