What 2 teams would you put in the NC game?

There are about 8 teams that can seriously argue that they are the best in the nation. And the two that will most likely play for it have some of the worst arguments. :wow:

Id honestly like to see LSU v USC

I had LSU and USC as my preseason pick :wow:

Who would think that its actually a possibility right now after the season we've had

I don't care how tough of a schedule you play, 1 loss should be the limit to get into the title game.

It should be conference champ vs. conference champ (none of this 2001 NU bullsh!t). So maybe LSU vs. OSU or VT vs. OSU based on the current rankings. Although I'd have to give LSU the nod over VT. After all, LSU beat the Hokies 48-7.

UGA doesn't deserve it. Neither does KU. Neither one had to play in a conference championship game. Ask MU how that turned out for them as the #1 team going in.

I dont buy that. Look at KU and Ohio State, both with one loss and neither beat a team that is worth two ****s. Then compare them to LSU who lost 2 games, both in triple OT. No comparison in my mind.

Don't discount Hawaii from that list of teams that played noone

Sure then put CU, after all we the #3 toughest schedule according to sagarin. We beat OU and almost beat KU.

North Texas vs Florida Atlantic because at this point does it really matter? The BCS is bull**** and we all know it, so I say put those two together.

I think those are probably the two best teams. However, with USC losing to Stanford, it might be a toss up with Va Tech. They won their conference championship and their 2 losses came to LSU and BC (who was ranked #2 at the time) and they avenged that loss in a rematch with BC. Maybe they can continue the revenge tour with a rematch against LSU. That would be pretty cool if they beat both teams that beat them earlier in the season.

I forgot - in the first game, Va Tech had BC beat - then BC scored 2 TD's in final two minutes for the win. Considering that, I'll go with Va Tech.

:yeahthat:

Let's just have a playoff and find out...

:yeahthat:

And of all the (relevant) conference champions, OSU is the only one with only one loss. I think they will get their asses kicked against any decent team, but they have to be in there.

Of the other major champions, LSU, OU, Va Tech, USC and WVU all have 2 losses. All of them but Va Tech have losses to teams that won't even be ranked at the end of the season. And Va Tech has a big loss to LSU. I would have to put LSU in there. The only teams ahead of them that didn't lose didn't play, and that is because they didn't even make their conference championship games.

The really interesting thing could be who gets the at-large BCS slots. One will come from the SEC and one from the Big XII - that's a given considering no other conference even has an at-large candidate in the top 10. Hawaii was looking good, but is down 21-0 to UW. Right now, it looks like Illinois and ASU will probably be playing in BCS games... :wow:

I'm fine with LSU and Ohio state.. I think LSU has a better body of work than Georgia, USC and OU.. Kansas is not a contender in my mind..

Not a bad idea...

Better yet....Have each school send a female "rep" and have them participate in beer drinking games. The last girl either standing or who is not totally nude...brings home the National Championship Trophy!

That would be great...I'm just sayin

they are the two best teams in the country. Regardless of record.

How many losses does SC have under JD Booty? LSU's only losses were in trip OT and flukes. Plus, they are just the best team in the country. I think they should make Kansas play Hawaii, if Hawaii can pull this thing out. The BCS is getting on my nerves.

It should be teams that won their conference championship. Penalize the Big 10 and Pack 10 for not playing one. I say it should be LSU and OU.
