USC -14 over Ill

i like the points, only cause I don't think SC cares about this and will not wake up until the 4th quarter.

Seriously, if a team is a 14 point dog to it's opponent, it doesn't deserve to be in the BCS bowls.

I kind of feel for USC and Georgia this year. They play teams that are not exciting nor do they have everything to lose and nothing to gain by beating their opponents. I was really hoping OU would get stuck with Hawaii so they could play cinderella yet again.

Yes it is a bowl game and you should drive to win, but I figure those teams will ahve a very hard time focusing on the task at hand.

spread is only there because vegas wants to have equal money on both teams

yes I get that, I am saying if I was betting I would keep an eye on the line, I think the money will push this close to 15.5 at which point I wouldn't touch it, becuase CPC doesn't particularly run up the score and he likes to involve lots of his players if they are up 20 late he will play the 4th string and they will get garbage points scored on them, just like NU did in that game.

i wouldnt even touch it at 14 although i think usc will roll the illini

the thing with bowl games is that you never know if both teams will be motivated for it. the schools get the money for showing up and there´s no incentive to win apart from pride etc. take last season´s rose bowl between usc and michigan ... for the players their season was over after the loss to ohio state that cost them a shot at the crystal ball and i dont think they were all that bothered about the outcome of the game.

Another perfect example was the 2001 Buffaloes against Oregon. Our team played like it couldn't care any less.

So true but having watched Hawk and the kids play this year I think lack of intensity and emotion wont be a problem for them like it is for some other coaches teams.
