Are they going to wait for the end of the Rose Bowl or will it kick off before that?

Go to the paragraph about his time at Colorado. It's short.

Accused of molestation, Brennan faces prison
Associated Press

Updated: September 17, 2004, 4:11 PM ET

BOULDER, Colo. -- A former Colorado quarterback has been found guilty of unlawful sexual contact for barging into a woman's dormitory room and fondling her until a friend came to her aid.

Colt Brennan, 20, was convicted Thursday of second-degree burglary and first-degree criminal trespass. He could face up to 12 years in prison at sentencing Nov. 19 and will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Brennan, a walk-on, was cut from the team a few days after the incident.

Authorities arrested Brennan after a woman said he drunkenly barged into her dorm room just after midnight on a day in January.

The woman said he put her on her bed and began fondling her before a friend came into the room and she was able to escape after mouthing the words "help me."

Brennan was found not guilty of indecent exposure and criminal attempt to commit sexual assault. He told police that she had invited him to see her new dorm room earlier that evening and that he believed that to be an invitation for sex. He denied touching the woman.

The allegations came at the height of the football program's recruiting scandal in which player-hosts were accused of supplying alcohol, drugs and sex to prospective recruits. The school has since made sweeping changes to recruiting and the oversight of the athletics department.

Brennan collapsed into his attorney's arms as the verdicts were read.

Really? So how does that work, you don't have Fox and ABC and all games just come over on one channel or what?

The channel is called NASN and is owned by ESPN. They hold the NFL, MLB, NHL and College football rights for most of Europe except for the UK. The foreign rights are given out by the league, so they don´t have to negotiate with the US networks, but rather the league itself ... and they just get the feed from the US networks.

Today´s live schedule looked like this

3pm Gameday
5pm Outback Bowl
8.30pm 2nd half of the Capital One Bowl
10.30pm Rose Bowl
02.30am Sugar Bowl

If you want to see what their schedule normally looks like, click here

The unlawful sexual contact verdict mentioned in the ESPN article was later vacted by the court.

Basically, he got drunk, did some things he should not have done, but doesn't remember exactly what he did.

Interesting, thanks for the info. I'm surprised they lump stuff together from different networks. How does that work for NFL regular season Sundays? Because it sounds like you have access to every NFL game every week.

One early game, one late game, SNF, MNF and the NFLN games. Plus 2 games on tape delay on Monday. When the Broncos aren´t on TV, I usually catch them on an internet stream.

I didn´t really have much of a reason to complain about their game selection in years past, but the Pats and Cowboys were on pretty much every week here this season and that got pretty boring in a hurry.

Can we maybe just pretend the Rose and Sugar Bowls never happened and have USC and Georgia play a meaningful game next week or so?

OK, I was wondering how you catch the Bronco game every week.

:yeahthat:

OU-WV is the only BCS game that might be decent.

Georgia and USC were the two best teams at the end of the regular season. Nothing has changed.

Seems you may have forgotten the stomp down OU did on the #1 ranked team 12/1, for the 2nd time in a season, and a far bigger beat down the 2nd time at a neautral site then the 1st. Me, either Ga or USC, the other is Oklahoma.

UGA and the Dawgs came to play! Geesh Colt is getting KILLED out there! :wow:

True. Oklahoma can make a similar statement tomorrow night. All three should start in the preseason top 5 next year.

I hope so, its time to turn this 3 BCS Bowl loss streak around...

I think you will see a very sound game played by OU tomorrow night. I expect a pretty competitive game for about three quarters and then the Sooners taking over in the 4th (similar to both Mizzou games).

I thought Hawaii would at least show up they were clearly beaten in every aspect of the game - wow the Dawgs were awesome - will see what Colt can do in the NFL

Question - my son's dorm has a card scanner to get into the main entrance (new since my day) and don't people lock their dorm doors? It does seem scary anyone can run amock in the dorms after midnight - although we did in the 70's and called it higher education

Back then, I think only one of the dorms had the scanner. Although if you stand outside any of the dorm entrances and look pathetic enough, someone will let you into the building.

Hawaii got exposed. Can we now dispense with this silliness about midmajors belonging in the BCS?

I think there's a lot of schools that would have been "exposed" against Georgia last night. Georgia is a very, very good football team. Had Hawaii drawn WVA, KU, Illinois, or Va Tech, I think the game would have been much closer.

Maybe so, but my point is these mid-majors have virtually no shot against the big boys in a bowl game. Why keep pretending? Yes, I know Urban meyer's Utes beat Pitt. Big deal. Pitt limped into the BCS by winning the Big (l)East. An aberration, at best. Had Utah played any other BCS team that year, they would have been spanked.

The non-BCS schools are now 2-1 in BCS games.

true. this year, however, looked grim for the non-bcs schools. boise state was on the cusp of going, until hawaii beat em. hawaii subsequently lost big. and boise st lost to perennial doormat ecu.

had both won their games, i could see clammoring for a conference tie in to a bcs bowl, and i would not really have any objection to it.

however, the landscape has changed.

hats off to both teams in that they tend to embrace the longview to the season. the softer schedule mandates that every game is an elimination game. that has to be a difficult burden to carry.
