1990 national champions

Nothing better than when a network with generally low quality broadcasting tries to tell a 5 hour long story in 20 minutes.

Damm, I knew this too because I just read about it the other day! :sad2: I must've left work right before this thread got started.

You didn't miss much. The 5th down and punt return by rocket got more play than the rest.Lame in my book.I was suprised ron zapollo had alot of good things to say about cu.

Hell even kreiger wasn't his usual"cu are a bunch of thugs" self.

i was thinking the same thing....the ONLY 'highlights' that got more than a second of airtime were two negative or controversial instances....ugh. it bugged me.

while it was nice to revisit our only MNC, i thought the show was well below average. :wow::sad1:

Thanks for the info, it sounds like I didn't miss a whole lot. I don't know who put this show together, but it's disappointing to hear that they focused on the negatives.

I find it interesting that when that seasn is talked about anywhere it's always about the 5th down, clip, and 1-1-1 start. Nobody ever brings up that CU played the nations toughest schedule that year and beat or tied 3 confrence champions. SWC: Texas, SEC: Tennessee, Pac-10: Washington (who would go on to win the national title in '91).

Or the fact that the National Title was SHARED with Ga Tech that year!
