April 19th

Free admission, free parking
Kid's event prior to the game.

There are pretty much no excuses for not going.

I'm in with about 10 friends so far. I'm working towards my 50:smile2:

I am in with 4 total so far. Solidified plans yesterday with a group that gets us up to 10 together. Will keep working on it.

Here's the email I just sent to my friends that are alums and/or fans. Many of them are out of staters.

Buff Fans,

Yesterday at the CU recruiting luncheon in downtown Denver the "Godfather" Coach Bill McCartney spoke. His main point of emphasis was on getting more support for the football program, but he presented it in a different way. Coach Mac talked about how last year about this time, new Alabama head coach Nick Saban urged the crimson tide faithful to pack the house for the spring game. As you may have heard, Alabama had 92,000 people show up for a spring game. Coach Mac has challenged the CU fans to pack Folsom on April 19th. Bring along friends, family, kids, co-workers, who ever. The spring game is free. Parking is free. The also have a kids program prior to the games 1pm start where the youngsters get to go on Folsom Field, meet Ralphie and members of the Football team. I know some of you that are addressed are out of state. If any of you out of staters were thinking about coming to Colorado this spring, come for this and show your support for CU. We are going to tailgate and have a helluva party before and after the game. If you can't make it, I'd urge you to become a member of the CU Buff Club if you are not already. I think it only costs $25 to join. Hell, everyone of us should be a Buff Club member. Make a small donation through the Buff Club, every dollar counts. If we want this program to get back to our glory days of competing for national championships we have to step it up from a financial stand point as well as from a fan stand point.

Please pass this along to other CU fans and Alums and let's pack Folsom on April 19th.

Cheers and Go Buffs!!!!!!

I have a group coming up Friday night, going to the festivities (including the Counting Crows), partying & staying up in Boulder. Then we're going to tailgate & party pre-Spring Game on Saturday. We're hoping by making it quite the event that people will be more likely to want to come up.

I'm in of course, I ahven't missed one since I came to campus. I'll probably have a group of 5-10 with me.

Would anyone like to sponsor me as part of McCarney's 50 people spring game pyramid scheme?

All I ask for is airfare into DIA, and I promise to muster some friends and relatives.

Seriously - this is a great guantlet put down by Bohn and company.

Alright...I wasn't at the luncheon, so I guess If I make it out and bring Mrs. FlaBuff we would be free agents for someone's 50...I can be bought for brats and beer...

Frequent flyer miles?

Either that or find an airfare deal and I am game! I will have to check with ubt to see if he is working or not that weekend.

Oh, and we'll definitely put together a tailgate again this year.
