Hawk was just on 950 with Sandy

It was a good interview, they talked about all the stuff the Texas Message Boards say about the recruitment of D Scott...he said, that those allegations are ludacris (87, i'm not talking about the rapper). Hawk said DS was committed to CU since his visit until the army game. He talked about the kind of recruits he goes after, which we've all heard.

This was great, he wasn't gonna mention any names or schools, but one kid being recruited was told by the other school, how bad the weather is in Boulder. So they got together some info from weather.com that showed from august-december the avg. temps and other stuff, and it showed pretty much the same temp, with more snow later in the year. (I wonder who he was talking about)

He talked about having Cody on his team, he told a story about Beamers wife that told him, when their kid is at home they dont talk football.

There's other stuff that was talked about, but I cant remember if anyone else heard it fill us in.

Then why did you spell it like the rapper. Ludacris=rapper, ludicrous=word

"Blow it out your ass." (Ludacris song)

Can you imagine some of the dirty tactics they use in the SEC? I wont even touch that one...

I can imagine KSU's coaches under Snyder while trying to recruit.
-Well, we have a LOWER academic standard, miles of beautiful scenery not more than 2000 miles away, and a world-class division II schedule. Come to beautiful Manhattan!

Yeah, more like, "hey no one else will have you with those grades, but here you can get a shot at the NFL with the inflated numbers you'll get because we dont really play anyone tough unless we have to. We at KSU thrive on rejects like you. "

Definitely worth a rep!

I know it's dealing with basketball, but Sampson with IU definitely makes me glad that Hawk values his reputation as a recruiter and I'm confident he wouldn't pull a crappy move like that on this school (unlike Tricky Rick).

Seriously though, the Little Apple has great people living there, but there's nothing else for miles in the middle of damn nowhere.

One thing that I think is an important difference between Rick Neuheisel and Kelvin Sampson is that Neuheisel looked for gray areas. He tried to skate a fine line between what was a known violation, and what wasn't really known as a violation.

Kelvin Sampson doesn't really give a **** if they are violations or not, he does it anyway.

:yeahthat:

Kelvin Sampson is waaaay sleazier to me than Neuheisal. He got caught committing blatent violations at OU but got out just in time. Now, he's doing the EXACT same things - that he knows are wrong and lied to the school & to the NCAA. Neu skirted some rules & tried to find loopholes but he didn't get caught doing the same things at UW. He was sleazy but not as bad as I believe what Sampson has done.

Plus, I hate that dude ever since he tried to throw down with Ricardo. He's lucky nothing came of it -- Patton would have beat that guy's ass.

Was that the Ronnie Degray/Corey Brewer fight? I remember Degray drive down the lane, get tripped up somehow, and then he grabbed Brewer and just about heaved him into the crowd.

I thought it was DJ Harrison but it may have been DeGray. It was ugly & Patton went to help break it up & get his player off the floor and Sampson jumped in and tried mixing it up with Patton. It was pretty incredible for a coach in the Big XII to try to involve himself like that. Now - I guess I shouldn't be so surprised - Sampson sucks.

When Najera was at Oklahoma, my dad took me and a friend to a game in Boulder and a fan threw a Coke at Sampson. It was awesome.

Maybe I'm thinking about a different Okie game.

That was the same game that Aki Thomas took a blatant elbow from Najera. Thomas decked him and laid him out for a few seconds, and got ejected for it. That is still one of the best games I've seen at the Foam dome. CU won, but it was a dogfight the whole game.
