CFN's Early Look at the BIG XII

I'd be shocked if Crabtree stays all four years at Tech. I'm glad we won't have to face him again.

Without Wheatley last year, I'm not sure we win that game.

And after that game, TWheat said Crabtree was the best receiver he's ever seen. That's high praise when you consider who he has seen.

Crabtree is gone in 1 or 2 years. Never again to face the Buffs unless Tech somehow makes it to the B12 CCG.

Crabtree will be gone after next season when he realizes he can be a first round pick.

I do have to say one thing, if the Buffs somehow have a season like MIzzou or Kansas did last year, I like our chances of a high BCS ranking with the strength of schedule:smile2:

Why to be grouchy: ... the schedule gets nasty. If you consider a home date against Kansas State a week off, than that's the only relative oasis until mid-November. After two weeks off following the Eastern Washington game, CU goes to Florida State, hosts West Virginia and Texas, goes to Kansas, faces KSU, and then
Who exactly makes the dates on our schedule? Why 2 weeks off in a row after the easiest part of the schedule? My guess is $ - accommodating the teams that give a good pay day.

I think its only one week off, we play eastern washington, a bye, then West Vag the following Thursday

Yeah, but I like it that way. Tough games are fun games. (hopefully )

I have to agree. I really want our f-ing schedule to be harder! That way when you DO reach the top people can't use strength of schedule as a damn excuse. Look at KU last season, everyone talked about their schedule.

The 2 weeks off is per the CFN link, where can you find the actual 2008 schedule? The university athletic site has Florida State and West Virginia as to be determined.

Cause they haven't decided the dates yet. But we do not have two weeks off.

All indications point to us playing WVU on Thursday night, 9/18. We should have a bye after the 9/6 EWU game (which was already pointed out). We will then play FSU the following week on 9/27.

Nothing is finalized, but this appears to be they way it will go down. Also, we will probably be playing FSU in Jacksonville and not Tallahassee.

Welcome Iowa!

All I know is that I will be 21!!!! for the West Vag. game and it is going to feel so good to finally not be a criminal at a football game!!

Uhhh, I don't want to get in trouble so I guess I'll avoid you...it will be exactly 1 week after I turn 21. I will come see you guys before the game though.

Yous gonna be hammered! Have been to an allbuffs tailgate before?

Sorry if I'm getting off track here guys but I was thinking the other day, whats the school gonna think when kids are walking to class on that thursday (I dont know who would be) and there are people getting ****faced and tailgating everywhere? Will they even allow tailgating until classes are out?

Let them try to stop us.

In all seriousness, it won't be that big a deal. Expect the kickoff to be around 7:00 PM. That means we show up at around 4:00. Classes are pretty much done by that point anyway.

True, I'll be drinking/tailgating for before 4 though. Guess some of you have to work though..:smile2:

Nothing new for me...I've tailgated with some AllBuffs posters, but I knew them before allbuffs.

I'm sure the University will allow the tailgaters to have their space early enough. As for me, I may need to bring a flask to my classes.

And who might those posters be? :smile2:

And a good point was reached on how they will allow tailgating with classes in session. That could be bad news. My guess is there will be some empty lectures that Thursday.
