there is a thread floating around on the basketball board that is an embarrassment. i have not posted in it and frankly i would wish that it would go away; but i felt the need to make a comment.

allbuffs represents the university of colorado, it's alumni, its fans, and it athletic department on the internet. that has the potential to reach thousands of people. i wish some of you would consider that before you make offhanded remarks that may represent the rest of us poorly.

what you posted is a detriment to hard work and progress that mike bohn, dan hawkins, ceal berry, jeff bzdelik, kathy mcconnell-miller and the rest of the people in the cu athletic department have made in the last few years.

it is a disservice to the hundreds of hard working student-athletes who represent the university on a daily basis.

i am proud to support a university that provides opportunities to these athletes. i am proud to donate to a university and an athletic program that supports non-revenue generating sports in addition to football and basketball. last time i checked we have a whole lot more national championships in non-revenue generating sports than we will ever sniff in football. that is a good thing for the university and for the state.

some of you whine about having to spend a few hundred extra bucks in donations for the privilege of owning season football tickets. and then in the next breath you whine about not having sports like baseball or hockey. well, it seems to me that if we had more support for some of our the other revenue generating sports that we currently have, we would be able to afford the facilities we need to develop those sports.

get a clue people. represent the university and support it in the best way you can. don't diss our current programs and student-athletes. if you don't have something positive to say, kindly keep your opinions to yourselves.

you don't represent me.

I respect your opinion & know where you are coming from but just read that thread and wasn't offended. Maybe the 'tranny' comment was a bit over the top but I didn't get upset over it.
Just saw it as satire. Takes alot to upset me.

well that kinda torks me off-
$200.00 on top of the $355.00 is a bit high IMHO.
I'm trying to get moved to Section 215-
Sure the seats aren't as good but we will be saving over
$240.00 per seat. That's money I could spend on a long
weekend road trip to KU or MU to see the Buffs play.

I don't know, FC, that thread seems pretty normal for ABs. Someone stated an opinion, someone else said something slightly offensive yet possibly funny. Then some idot showed up and made an idotic statement fully displaying his tendency to idotry. Then the ABers showed up and told the idot, in no uncertain terms, that he was a complete idot and then the said idot slithered back to his home on Idot Lane in the land of the idots to resume his duties as chairman of the Committee to Support Idots, Friends of Idots, and Idot Sympathizers. He's probably there right now rubbing his nipples and saying, "mmmmm FC's mom."

and money that is no longer going to directly benefit the student athletes...but whatever, i am sure somebody else will enjoy those seats...

Right on brother! THIS IS AN NCAA DIVISION 1 MESSAGE BOARD! This ain't Myspace!

I really can't believe that people would go out of their way to say something so obnoxious on this board that it might offend some people.

Oh wait, thats right, it happens all the time... as long as it isn't directed towards CU it's OK. Whatever, that's a BS double standard.

What I really can't believe is that someone felt the need to sit down and write this sanctimonious, self-righteous bull****. You're right, I don't represent you, I represent people with a sense of humor. THIS IS AN NCAA DIVISION 1 MESSAGE BOARD! If I don't have something positive to say, I'll still say it! If I want to mock my school's sports teams for being terrible, I'll say it! If I want to say something so completely outlandish that it offends half the board, I'll still say it! (and rightfully get rebuked in the process). If you have a problem with certain posters, take it up with those posters, don't throw up some self-righteous crap about being positive and act like you're better than us, because you aren't. I'M 30... I'M A MAN... COME AFTER ME!

And next time, since you're bitching about people being idiots, and not talking about football, why don't you put your post in the correct forum, like The Pub, or even basketball, since this is loosely related to that. Idiot!
