Re: 2008 Fall Practice Schedule

wooo thanks. Wonder if I will get my **** together to see a few of those practices. I think I am circling the week of 10-17 as when I would go.

no scrimmage in Folsom? no public scrimmage after the 17th?

would have switched the Pearl Street rally to Saturday night, if it were me.

Folsom was re-sodded less than 3 weeks ago. The new grass needs time to get established.

Can some turfologist explain why the sod wasn't planted like 8 weeks ago?

I learned in Turfology 1010 that there was a beach volleyball tournament held in Folsom in early July.

pfffft. Heaven forbid a football field be ready for the fall scrimmage.

How did that AVP CROCS event work out? Anyone go see the beaches of California? Was Neuheisal behind this?

"The AVP has brought its professional beach volleyball tour to Boulder before, but they used to always play at the Boulder Reservoir. Now held at Folsom Field, pros like three-time Olympian Holly McPeak and the men's No. 2 tandem of Sean Scott and Nick Lucena will be able to show their stuff where the Buffaloes roam on Saturdays in the fall.

"Folsom Field will be a whole new venue for us, so its going to be fun," said McPeak. "Boulder is a great field with the environment and with healthy people who love the outdoors and we are just going to bring the beaches of California to you."

who wants to get drunk with me and fallen sky and go to a practice and root for DS? anyone? FS's idea.
hmmmm. Jrod if you are not 21 yet you will have to be sober. Or at least never forget that I didn't buy you the booze! I remember to well the troo passion of Boulder cops...

I, on the other hand, will be enjoying my last week before my life ends. :smile2:

Ill join ya guys. We'll be like those crazy ****s in Texas that sit there with PBR's and cuss their son out from the comfort of their tailgate.

Most likely some practices. I'll try my best to let you guys know whats going on. But keep in mind i am no coach.

here's an example. Remember when i said it was a mistake to move Solder to LT? Riiiiiiiggggggghhhhhhhhhhttttttttttt.

That's a pretty intense schedule, 7 days a week from 4 Aug to 31 Aug. Every day, no breaks. And you know there's other stuff our guys are obligated to do that isn't even on that schedule (helping the Fresheman students move into the dorms, etc.). Sometimes I forget just what a huge commitment it is to be a part of this program and then stuff like this comes to light and my pride in our young athletes soars even higher.:gobuffs:

I noticed Ii had a post deleted and i assume it is because it was referencing and quoting a scout article. I quoted a paragraph, 2-3 sentences, provided a link, and stated it was from a free scout.com article.

Is nothing from scout or rivals allowed, even if it free, linked, and cited? I'm just trying to see how to proceed in the future.

Oh yeah, and planning for the future... What happens if my 1,000th (I know paltry, but still) is deleted? Do I go back to 999 on the official counter?

I think some posts didn't actually stick yesterday with the server issues. Try posting again because you've followed the correct procedure.

Does anyone have directions to the practice fields?

from where? basically you'd come into Boulder on 36 and follow it until it turns into 28th st. take a left (west) onto Arapahoe. go to Folsom and the light. turn back south (left), go about 1/4 mile, and take a right into the dirt parking lots just past the student housing complex.

Practice fields are there just north of Boulder Creek and the stadium--between Folsom and 20th, north of Boulder Creek and south of Arapahoe.
